Good article showing that Wallace catches most of his balls chest level

It would be much more efficient if he just admitted he is wrong. Instead, he tries to say that the picture is wrong and that Hartline isn't catching with his body...

I just said I played college football as a wide out. It was D1 and we played huge schools, then I get said I have no idea about catching.

ok, i'm wrong. that's one catch. he still consistently catches with his hands, more often than not.

I have to agree. Although Hartline catches some passes with his body depending on where the ball is thrown. He catches a lot of passes with his hands and is definitely one of our more consistent WR's.

yes, and if he was consistently a body catcher, you'd think he'd have a lot more drops. but he doesn't. because he catches more with his hands than his body. with every body catch you post, I can post 2 hands catches.

No, he is a body catcher. He is also a very savvy and intelligent football player which makes him a good wide receiver. But he catches with his body and its something I wish he would improve on and learn not to do. It hurts us in big situations. He catches boundary high radius passes with his hands, because he has to. But for slants, comebacks, digs, posts, outs, he catches with his hands.

Complete body catch here and he drops it. This was last Saturday against the Bucs.

TWO catches above the head in 2013? ... TWO?!?! That is fracking pathetic for a receiver making that kind of money! I wonder how many of T'Hill's "overthrows" would be caught by a receiver who knew how to use his hands :err:

You can clearly see how he is positioning his hands so he can bring his body up to catch the ball IMO...

Did you guys even read my post? I said passes that are high he catches with his hands, which 99.9% of the league does. Or its impossible to catch. Its the passes that are lower than his head level he catches with his hands, which then can have the tendency to bounce off the chest.

that's what I've been saying!!!

Ok here.

He catches many of his passes with his body. The passes that are literally impossible and physically cannot be caught with your body/chest, he catches with his hands. He needs to catch the passes that go in his chest/body area with his hands or we have situations like against the Bucs game where he drops critical passes.

ok, and other than the bucs game, how many critical passes has he dropped because of the ball bouncing off his body?

He caught 2 out of 10 passes last year against the Bills in December. The game we lost 19-0 and if we won we would have made the playoffs.

"With the Dolphins trailing 3-0, Hartline beat Bills cornerback Stephon Gilmore down the left sideline and might have been on his way to scoring an 83-yard touchdown had the ball not bounced off his chest"
