I wasn't saying that we shouldn't forgive him...heck no!!! I was saying we were the ones that need his forgiveness in a way. The guy walked away from something because of so many reasons...many of which most of us will never understand. But did that stop us from bashing the crap out of him. Nope. I said 90% because there wasn't a soul...NOT A SOUL...that backed ricky's decision publicly last year. If you say you did then I certainly didn't read it. I was on here all the time to read thread after thread about how he's so selfish and how he sold out his team and how he should die and all that crap that gets way blown out of proportion. NOW...
I was commenting on how everyone is just going back to how it was like nothing happened with comments like "I forgive him" and all that. Now lets just play ball. MY POINT WAS THIS...
WE ARE THE ONES WHO NEED TO BE FORGIVEN.
I know what forgiveness is and there was no semi-religous tone...I know what it means...but this is different. I totally forgive him and after the fact, with my 20/20 hingsight...I think it was a bold, calculated move that will probably end up making Ricky a stronger player...using more heart than ever. I mean he's not about the money if he's saying no to tons of it. $600K for shaving the locks?? Wow. But has ricky forgiven me for bashing him and wishing him ill-will? That's the point. If he rushes for 1000 yards...do we deserve this benefit after the scrutiny and sheer hatred that we gave him? Next time lets read my whole post before writing that i don't understand what you wrote. I did. My point is that I feel...not you neccessarily...ME...I FEEL like a hipocrite for cheering him on when I know in my heart that I was hating him a year ago. I want him to know that "I'm sorry too"...instead of him thinking that we all need an apology. Thanks for listening.
I forgive this
