GOOD LORD !!!! PTSD ?! Seriously.......WTF !?

If he has PTSD lets hear his explanation for wanting to play football for another team

THIS!!!
I surely hope that someone asks this question to whoever is mediating this thing. Soldiers that deal with this do not say "please just send me to a different war, it was just that one.....it was just too violent"

Just heard it reported that 55 US soldiers in Afghanistan committed suicide this year than died in actual combat.

It's a fact that a number of NFL players have also committed suicide over the years.

A possible tie-in that is now being medically researched is starting to show that continued concussions (football players from violent head contact and soldiers from the concussive effects of nearby explosions) can lead to PTSD type symptoms.

Maybe PTSD needs a different moniker such as Post Concussive Traumatic Stress Disorder (PCTSD) to segregate those suffering actual brain trauma.

Maybe he was really raped by (In)Famous Jameus but the Tallahassee cops pressured him to keep it on the down low. (pardon the pun). It's a lot to live with :idk:

Al Queda uniforms are just so silly and unimpressive. I want to fight French people!

That's a pretty long ass stretch.

Not a stretch but more of a postulate being researched that if eventually proven may one day offer new treatment options and much needed help for those afflicted with a concussive brain disorder.

At this point I am still willing to give J. Martin the benefit of the doubt on the issue. Although I agree he would have been better served handling the situation in a manner than would have caused less overall damage to the team.

Yeah. I'm not. There's nothing that's been shown to me thusfar that would even remotely excuse his
weak kneed, limp wristed reaction to this whole thing.

ETA; PTSD isn't only derived from concussive head trauma, either.

Some players can't make the successful transition from college to the NFL. Having enjoyed success at Stanford, it is interesting that he is happy back with his college buds. Also interesting that he flew from LA to New York for the Friday meeting back to LA for the game. I wonder where he meets Stephen Ross (a NYC resident) on Monday?

Yeah, he looks "carefree" in that photo - I suspect he never did want to leave his friend's behind

I never said that it was, only that it was being looked into as a possible cause.

Trust me I know what can cause PTSD and the damage it inflicts on ones self and those around them.

Well, you were suggesting the whole syndrome be renamed to indicate the causation be tied to concussive force.

I can accept ongoing head trauma (multiple concussions) can cause brain issues.....but seriously how many offensive lineman get concussions? Especially after playing for only 2 years. That's not a valid argument if he tries that.

I just started a thread about his lawyer Cornwell and the familiar transparent theatrics he instructed ARod to act out yesterday to avoid testifying under oath. Remember, he's the same lawyer who threw the urine sample collector under the bus on a technicality to get Ryan Braun off last season, likely had him staring at the cameras reciting his denials and outrage at being railroaded, and now, in hindsight, we know the truth about that. Just more reason IMO to doubt this BS claim, manufacture publicity-seeking theatrics and sidestep exposure to critical questioning while finding strawmen to throw under the bus. :idk:

No I was suggesting that a different syndrome be identified where concussion is suspected as the primary cause versus other non-concussive PTSD.

The medical research and subsequent treatment(s) plan would then be made specific to concussion related head trauma.

I don't know man, he has gotten beaten pretty badly out there! :chuckle:
