I'm not sticking up for Sage saying he is awesome, but for Christ sake is it that difficult to see in last years game and all his preseasons that he isn't any worse of a shot than the debacle we traded a 2nd for, AJ Feeley?? My problem with Hyde's writing is his constant condescending, negative, uppity tone in all his articles. Was it necessary for him to write this article in a tone like; "AJ and Gus suck, and now we are forced to consider the 3rd string who undoubtedly is going to suck as well. He hasn't started more than one game, but I as Dave Hyde can no doubt tell you he is just as terrible and it's physically impossible for Sage to be better than the other 2 guys, therefore this team is going under...the organization is going under...we're doomed and never going to win again...OH NO I'll probably be out of a job and then have to go write pessimisitc posts for another market........"General Tso said:Keep the glasses on and continue to stick up for everything related to the Dolphins? Are you talking about yourself? You're the one complaining about Hyde's article because it implies Sage isn't very good (an obvious fact to anyone not blinded by their Dolphins loyalty).
THANK YOU!! That is all I am getting at with his articles. Not really even about the specifics in them (aside from the specificity that he is always a Negative Nancy, Debbie Downer, or Condescending Christopher).NorFlaFin said:For a guy whose profession is as a journalist, that article was incrediblely unprofessional.

Are you slow in reading comprehension? Seriously? Because your starting to get on my nerves for the fact you still don't understand the point. Do you really think it is that difficult to understand if a team is considering its 3rd option there may be a problem...that's not the point if that's what you think it is.General Tso said:Hyde's article was simply stating the obvious... which is apparently difficult for you to handle. When a team's 3rd string QB from the past 3 years (a guy who threw 3 INTs in his only NFL start) might be your best option, then your team is in serious trouble.
What did you want the article to say, that Sage's performance against training camp fodder shows the outlook for this year's offense is good?
Schleprock said:How are we in any more trouble than we were????Position spot numbers aside, on the field all 3 quarterbacks are even.
Do you do anything but constantly argue with people on here? I have never seen you agree with anyone's posting, you're always on the other side.

Sorry, you still aren't getting it.General Tso said:I'm sorry, I should focus on addressing your point that you don't want writers writing the truth about how bad of shape the Dolphins QB situation is.
I agree, they should only talk about the positive things (like how our QBs have really good looking wives/girlfriends). They shouldn't focus on things like how the QBs can't throw accurately, have a knack for throwing TDs for the wrong team, and how they can go from being 3rd stringers to being Miami's starter.

General Tso said:I'm trying to come around to your lollipops and sunshine point of view. Here are some things Hyde could've written about instead of choosing to focus on the negatives:
If Sage and Derrius can replicate their performance for 4 quarters and all 16 games then they'll break the single season records for passing/receiving yards and touchdowns.
Gus completed 66% of his passes.
Tillman broke the world record for the farthest a person has ever bounced off of another person.
More than half of Feeley's 13 incompletions were spirals.
Ricky Williams didn't quit the team last night.
David Boston only hurt his neck, his knees were fine.
Saban didn't kill anyone... clearly he's the most patient coach in the world.
In '99 Kurt Warner went from 3rd stringer to league MVP and superbowl champion. Kurt and Sage both attended college in Iowa. Coincidence?
