Well said and out of those two I would have to say we take Jones.
 
well guys it all how everything fall but what about if we get the second pick ..just trade down like to 5 ...then u pick the best QB BArkley or Jones and just in case a second QB RG3 in the second round ...lol just to make sure one of them will work out lol

The people on this thread have STILL not answered the question to why RGIII won't be merely a repeat of Akili Smith or Ryan Leaf, a couple of one-year wonders who parlayed that success into high draft picks and collapsed soon after. Burden of proof is on you.

Why he isn't Akili Smith:
RGIII has a high intellect, great arm and blazing speed

Why he isn't Ryan Leaf:
RGIII has a high intellect and is mature
 
RG3 has everything you want in a qb in todays NFL.

•Accuarcy
•Arm Strength
•Mobiltiy
•Deep Ball placement.

He also is a very intelligent human being. Everything about him screams NFL QB. Of course he isnt Luck, but he certainly has the potential to be a franchise qb.

Not sufficient. I need to know what he can do against a team that doesn't suck (and no, TCU doesn't count, that was Week 1). The fact that Baylor has lost against all other ranked teams it has played so far tells me quite a bit. I need to see what he can do against Oklahoma and Texas, the only two remaining ranked teams on the schedule. Beating the snot out of KU and Texas Tech doesn't mean anything to me, and Iowa State and Mizzou are awful.

Some of the best QBs in the NFL played in small college schools. Big Ben, Aaron Rodgers, Flacco, etc. all played at small schools. You need to look at the prospect's individual skills, and not the team he plays for. RG3 has EVERYTHING you want in a QB, except that he may be an inch shorter than the ideal. But he makes up for that in other aspects of his game.
 
Bobby Griffin is a nice developmental prospect for a solid team to develop over a 3-4 year window. Like a Kaepernick. Miami is not in the market for that. Miami is in the market for a franchise qb once and for all. I am impressed that he is a bright kid and he clearly has some talent, but he is just not a good fit for Miami right now. Weeden and Griffin will go to solid teams that match their draft status of second half of round one. Like Dallas. Maybe Baltimore.
