Gordon's Trade Value

we can't get anything for him at this time. Teams wait until you cut the players. Especially runningbacks. Other teams see the same situation the fans see in Miami. A glut at RB, they know the turk is coming to get someone. When the cut is made teams will simply pick up the disregarded players. Same goes for Miami with the secondary. Miami will wait until the first cuts come and evaluate the players cut. If anyone is better than players we have on our roster, in the eyes of the coaching staff, they will simply pick them up.

I agree

Why would someone trade for a guy, that appears is going to be cut?

yeah.... know that feeling...LOL

Time to Cut our losses, let Gordon go along with Feely. They were huge a waste of draft picks. let 'em go and move on. I think Berlin is actually better that feely anyway and he has a much cooler name for a QB.

How can you say someone who probably wont be around when the season starts has any trade value?

we could EASILY get something for lamar gordon. no, its not going to be a 3rd rd pick, but depth at db a or conditional draft pick wouldnt be a problem.

Yes...it's key that we have cool names on our roster...

Gordon will be cut, and anyone that might be interested in him will just wait and then pick him up for free.

a 6th rounder at best. but only if hes on your team after the last cut down day. otherwise, other teams may wait to see if you cut him.

It's beginning to feel that Lamar Gordon won't be a big part of our success this season. What round pick do you think we could get for him. Someone is probably going to need a back between now and the start of the regular season due to some kind of injury.

My feeling is that we could get a 5th, maybe 4th round pick for him but that is probably a reach.

It's a shame because if he just would show something in the preseason, his value could have been higher...but hey, I'd take a 5th for him now, but Saban may be reluctant to do that before RW gets back.

I disagree with anyone who thinks gordon is going to be cut. He is our 3rd best running back. Oh wait he had a fumble against Jacksonville I guess he's no good. We won't cut Gordon.

I disagree with the majority here. I do think Gordon could fetch a mid to late round pick if we wait a bit. Someone's going to get hurt this preseason and someone's going to be scrambling for RB help. I think the Eagles would give up something for him once Correll Buckhalter calls it quits.

He would fit with there offense, but I hear rumors that they want more of a powerback, this way they can run out games. Gordon is similar to the backs they have.

Why? He having chronic injury problems? Serious question.
