GREAT NEWS! Fingers Crossed!! (Xanders interview)

Although Kubiak and Shannahan were my top 2, you can't knock this hire that bad, especially now that we know he'll be calling his own plays. Norv's offense's doesn't really fit Tannehill's skillset and you'd have to teach an entirely new offense. At least we got some one young and imaginative for a change. I'm just thankful it's not McAdoo and we don't have another ****ing puppet.

It's the only reason any HC worth his salt does anything--to win SB this upcoming season. And we deserve a HC who approaches things like that.

I don't think so ..Vital, Dawson and Ross for second interviews from what I saw being reported with Vital the leading candidate.
(Which means stand by for someone else not mentioned to get the job!)

NICK1: HE DID? how so? i know he was the qb coach, had ONE season with him.

so, how much was LAZOR the factor or was it that FOLES appears to be one of those over looked gems like brady or russell wilson who would have been awsome with or without their qb coach?

i say the later. i would put it on lazor [i am not against the hire] if foles had been around a couple three seasons and was mediocre at best and then lazor came along and bada bing!! but that didnt happen so i cant say that lazor was the big factor in foles game. i think foles would have been foles no matter what, he just needed to get a break and get on the field ala brady did.

so, WHAT SAY YOU NICK1? was it the magic of lazor [and if so, how] or was it the natural talent of foles?

What were foles stats last year? He sure didn't look like a "gem". He looked so good he was the back up at three start of the season. I wouldn't put it all on lazer but he certainly helped
 
If we get him on top of getting Lazor, it's going to be a miserable offseason for the Debbie Downers who usually can't do anything but complain...they won't know how to handle it.
 
Just read an article on PFT, not that I trust much of what they write, that Xanders and Farmer are very close and that the Dolphins may look to hire both. Farmer as GM and Xanders as a higher role within the organization. Has anyone else heard this? Could this be a possibility? Sounds promising if we could hire both.

No offense to Nick1 and I would be WAY more interested to hear what FOLES has to say about it.

Sorry for contributing to the Hijack OP.

If Xanders is the right guy I hope we get him. My main hope at this point is that Ross and the lot of them don't make an organizational mess that winds up with us next year as the embarrassed whipping boy of the league, yet again.

This new tradition I've had about enough of.

Tiny sample size but the stats from Foles 6 starts were very comparable to Tannehill's, Tanney's stats were actually a little better than Foles over his first 6 games so Foles may have indeed flourished under Kelly/Lazor this season. But like I said, can't judge much over 2 seasons let alone 6 games.
