To everyone who will waste 20 minutes writing about our qb situation, I offer this last piece of advice/opinion.
We don't need a great QB. And I'm not the only one who seems to think so.
Why did Saban draft Ronnie Brown instead of Braylon Edwards, or perhaps a top rated QB?
This has been established from day one as a rebuilding year, not a winning season. They know that the success of a team, as far as superbowls go, is their QB. But Sabans not looking at a SB. He'd be a fool if he was, inheriting a 4-12 team from Wanny.
Lets have a great running game (bringing back Ricky doesn't seem so far off now does it?) and lets pick up a buttload of Defensive players to prevent teams from destroying us.
Lets rework our line to be the best its ever been to protect our QB OR to open up holes for a monster running game
Saban's intention was to never have a consistent west coast style offense, where the QB threw every down for five or six yards. He wants to run those yards, open up the backfield, and have some playmakers make the DEEP bombs, hence our new Offensive coordinator who loooooves to go deep.
This year we'll have to be patient, and much like Bates who took over as Interim Coach, I believe Feeley/Frerotte will take over as Interim Quarterback. At least, until we can draft ourselves a young talent to mold into the next Marino.
