Exactly, smart move on Gruden's part. Ross now must write a bigger check if he wants him.

Agreed...all these coaches sign TV contracts with outs if they wanna coach again. All this does is tie him to ESPN if he decides to stay in TV.

Out of all the potential head coaching candidates, he's the one I would want the most. Wannstedt was a place-holder, Saban was the wrong man for the wrong job, Cameron was in way over his head (as is Sparano now, apparently.) I'm not as impressed with Cowher's overall record and seeing Gruden interact with the younger players this past off-season on ESPN makes me think he'd be a good fit with a young, rebuilding team. His name would definitely put fannies in the seats and his track record speaks for itself.
