Guess What!!!

We actually have 8 picks in 7 rounds because we picked up a 2006 7th from Green Bay on a conditional trade from last season.

Wow! A 7th round pick traded two years ahead? What, did Wanny share donuts with the Packers staff?

You know, they say a draft pick this year is worth a pick one round up next year (ie, its fair to trade a '05 2nd for an '06 1st). How about we trade this extra 2006 7th for a 2012 1st? :D

Didn't think anyone remembered that. Thanks for refreshing my memory.

If a quarterback represents value at our pick, wherever that pick may lie, then I'm sure Nick Saban will consider it.

I will not be surprised to see the defense getting addressed once again though. We've got a lot of young, unproven talent on the offensive side of the ball, but our defense is aging. I can see Nick Saban getting a good cornerback, a big safety, or a big two gap defensive tackle with a high draft pick next season. I really think two prospects that Dolphins fans should keep an eye on are two Tennessee prospects. Jason Allen is a 6'0", 200 lbs defensive back that has the versatility to play cornerback and safety. The early reports on him this year were that had he declared, he probably would have been a late first to early second round pick. The other prospect is Jesse Mahelona, a 6'2", 300 lbs two gap defensive tackle. He's a big thick guy who I believe weighs more than his listed 300 lbs, and he has a mean streak to him.

I would be fine with whatever Saban does, but I think he will make a strong push for QB. I would love to see AJ pan out but we just don't know right now. If Saban wants to spend the whole draft on D next year I'll love it.
D wins championships!!

Next year is supposed to be a banner year for OT's. Eric Winston, D'brickashaw Ferguson, Marcus Mcneil, and a bunch of others are coming out. If I had to place a bet on what we use our 1st on, that's what it'd be.

Is Roth estimating the size of his BALLS in that pic :).

lol the real reason he was doing that was that he was ****ing with the florida gators after he made a defensive stop. he did the gator chop or whatever its called.

if Saban came in and threw away all the players that have made the dolphins dominant the past years, i would be highly upset, you dont just trade away a Zach Thomas because he doesnt fit your scheme, Zach is the leader of this team no matter what and Saban in the newcomer, Zach knows how to get the job done on D in Miami, and Saban will have to eat a little humble pie and let Zach do his thing. Zach Thomas has BEEN the Miami Dolphins since Marino retired.

and i'm sure before it's all said and done we'll have picks in the double digits after saban weeds out the roster

We still have all our pick for next year...how refreshing! We probably have a franchise RB and our D has had a major youth injection. Would anyone be surprised to see us draft a QB with the first selection in next years draft? I wouldn't.I think with all the one year signings, we will be in major cap heaven come next year. And I would not be surprised to see JT and ZT gone! I think Saban would listen to offers next year if they came his way for JT. I love both players and would love for them to retire here, but I don't think they will last in Saban long term plans. We won't look like JJ/Wanny fins in two years. We will be big fast and mean on D and the model of consistency on O. I really think we have a chance to be something special under Saban. The more we look at this past draft the more you can see Saban and staff have been hard at work. We only had 6 picks yet we are considered by some as to have had one of the best drafts. The legend begins.

I believe the Roth picture was snapped right when the media asked Roth,

"Hey Roth, how big would you say a Female Elephant's love hole is?"

:roflmao:
