I'll take Marino and Manning. Other than that, I can't think of any other QB I'd take in their prime over Brady.

I'd also like to know the list of QB's you'd take over Brady.

Anyone who takes Brady over Elway is crazy. As a Dolphin homer, I will always take Marino number one, but Elway would be the only QB that could be ranked ahead of him IMO. So, my list of top 5 would be Marino, Elway, Manning, Montana and Unitas (although I never saw him play, my uncles did and some of the stories they've told me are Montana-esque).

well every one has an opinion but I would take Brady any day of week over Elway.

I wouldn't mind kicking the tires on some of these guys, but I am ok with Garner filling in. He did fine last year when he filled in for Pouncey. I would rather see them kick the tires on a FA to add depth behind Garner than to trust that Brenner can handle it. I saw reports that Smith had been getting some snaps at center, and it is good for them to be able to play multiple positions, but Smith needs time to settle into the guard position.

3. Montana was what Brady is, but far far more effective.

4. Brees is more of a take the team on your back when things are not going right then Brady.

5. Elway was also a more effective QB in games then Brady.

6. People like Brady because of all those championships, so that then puts Bradshaw also ahead of Brady.

7. Johnny Unitas was the epitome of big game, ice for blood QBs.

8. Roger Staubach was a QB that no matter what was happening in the game, you always had to worry about him...Capt Comeback

9. Aaron Rodgers is already a better QB then Brady ever was.

Obviously I would take Brady in a micro second if he was offered, and I was GM, but to call him the best ever...no

Just my opinion, he is a HOF qb, extremely smart, but too many QBs I would take before him for that.

If you can name 5 QBs better than Tom Brady, you're letting your hatred for the Patriots blind you.

i'll give this a shot - no particular order:

1. Joe Montana
2. Bart Starr - won a ton of championships and was 13-1 career post season
3. Otto Graham
4. Peyton Manning - though I really had to think hard on this one
5. Ehh... I give up.

In hindsight, I'd like to swap Manning for Unitas - still leaving me w 4.
