Gus in 03 in MInny: 7/2 TD/INT 118 rating.
AJ last year: NFL record 6 pick 6's, more INT than TD.

Get it? Gus did nothing last year but nothing was better than the negative impact AJ had.

Whoa whoa whoa, calm that down cowboy. Your talkin to me all in the wrong tone. Numbers dont lie. Im not arguing gus didn't have a better qb rating than AJ. But look at the line Gus had, and offensive weapons. You take Gus and put him behind our line last year, the results would be worse than what they were. One thing I dont think your comprehending is that Gus is coming in to his 12th season, where hes been the starter for different teams. Where as AJ is coming in to his 5th and has not had many opportunities to prove him self. GET IT? Ill give you gus has better accuracy only because of the fact he has more experience. AJ has the better arm period, IMO. AJ will be the starter beginning this season,....if not....he will be by the end.
 
I agree that Gus will win the QB battle on the depth chart. I think it's inevitable that there will be a change sometime in the season though.

Boik, don't even bother, its not worth it.

I can't wait to see the Gus haters eating crow when he's doing quite well this year, especially the guys who say that we're stupid for starting him.

So what, AJ is 6 years younger than Gus. They are the SAME EXACT type of football player. A statue with an arm. Feeley does not have a better arm. They are exactly the same physically. What Frerotte has is an understanding of how to play QB. Knowing where to throw, knowing when not to, and showing his cool when the play breaks down, something Feeley has shown he can't do.

Wait till the games start, and defenders are really trying to sack the QB. Thats when AJ gets flustered, and loses all his bearings. Gus has the veteran presence needed to not freak out, and know exactly when to just take the sack and not throw it up to nobody, or down at the ground for IG.
 
Yo I honestly honestly hope if Gus starts, I hope he does great....wtf....I want to see the dolphins do good this season no matter whether its AJ GUS or BROCK. I just think AJ will start and is the better qb who has a lot of pottential.
 
It doesn't really matter, because unlike with Wanny, I have total faith that Saban will pick the correct man for the job. The problem with Wanny was that I knew just as much as he did :rolleyes: . With this coach, there is no reason to argue about which QB is better, because Saban is smarter then all of us combined (at football anyway).

But just for fun, i'd have to say that Feeley will be the man. I just look at the improvment he made once Bates took over, and if that positive trend continues, there's no telling how good he'll be come game day (remember, he's a gamer).

But again, have no doubt that Saban will have the best QB under center come week one. Just sit back and relax untill then.
 
I think it is likely that before the season is done we will have ample time to see both QB's in action. I hope AJ steps up as Gus is a little long in the tooth but I will be surprised if either one is starting two years from now.
 
Unless our O-line improves a lot, you'll see Frerotte and Feely start this season. And probably Sage Rosenfels as well. And I would not hesitate to think that by week 17, the 'Fins might have to re-sign Brock Berlin to start the final game.
 
I wish I could find those clip of the deep passes Gus threw to Randy Moss.
