Gus Frerotte at QB

Whoa whoa whoa, calm that down cowboy. Your talkin to me all in the wrong tone. Numbers dont lie. Im not arguing gus didn't have a better qb rating than AJ. But look at the line Gus had, and offensive weapons. You take Gus and put him behind our line last year, the results would be worse than what they were. One thing I dont think your comprehending is that Gus is coming in to his 12th season, where hes been the starter for different teams. Where as AJ is coming in to his 5th and has not had many opportunities to prove him self. GET IT? Ill give you gus has better accuracy only because of the fact he has more experience. AJ has the better arm period, IMO. AJ will be the starter beginning this season,....if not....he will be by the end.
Line, weapons, whatever the excuse you still need to execute. Aj lacked a run game yes. That doesnt mean he couldnt have been proficient or smarter with the ball. He still made a F-ton of mistakes and he still played a stupid game save for a gift from NE on which DT had to make an amazing catch. Experience is not a negative at the qb position anyway you slice it. i dont care if its vince evans in his 56th year back there, i just dont want to see any qbs throwing balls as theyre getting sacked or in double coverage or with 8 hands in theyre face when theyre just tossing lobs in the flat. Get it? The only place AJ should be starting is on your madden game.

it would be nice if you used stats and facts that actually backed up your argument.
I believe I did. Go ahead, dispute anyone of those....

As far as AJ vs Gus:
Gus in 03 in MInny: 7/2 TD/INT 118 rating.
AJ last year: NFL record 6 pick 6's, more INT than TD.

Get it? Gus did nothing last year but nothing was better than the negative impact AJ had.

Edit: Im waiting............ :fire:

Plainly put: A.J. Feeley cannot read a defense. He may have a great arm, but so did Jeff George, so did Ryan Leaf. QBing Intangibles are something that you have, or you don't. He doesn't have it, he proved that last season. Even the week after the win over the patriots, he looked absolutely horrible against the browns. Frerrotte may not be able to move like he could before, but he has a good arm, and good intangibles. I really hope that I am wrong about Feeley, and I especially hope that if he wins the job it's because he deserves it. It's too late to play the guy based on potential.
