Dude - we could've had Mark Ingram and Ryan Mallett - and then we wouldn't even be talking about going after scraps from other teams - like Orton.
It is ABSOLUTELY Ireland's fault that we didn't draft our own QB talent. And it is Ireland's fault that we didn't fix our interior OL in FA. And it's Ireland's fault that he signed Bush to be a feature back when everyone knows that Bush isn't a feature back. These mistakes will be magnified as the season plays out - as Mark Ingram becomes a star in this league, and as the Pats eventually are able to trade Mallett for a high pick. And especially as we have another bad season. Sorry - but that's just how I see it.
Almost EVERY SINGLE MOCK DRAFT leading up to the draft had us taking either Mallett or Ingram. So how can so many average-Joe-football-fans know who we should take - and then we get a shot at BOTH GUYS - but our GM comes away with NEITHER!!! Unbelievable!!!!
