I love it!!!! Put the kicker in a pressure situation with the whole team breathing down his neck. Mare drills it!!!! I only hope it was the injuries that hurt Mare that past couple of years and he's back to his old self this year.

Im with all you guys. This is great stuff right here! Its about time that Mare buckle down and start hitting from everywhere once again. The past few years havent been to pleasing to me with him kicking the ball.

Yes yes yes Thank God they finally got Seth outta there! Rex will definitly be an upgrade at Center IMO.

the only thing i don't like, was that i truly believe Hadnot could have been something dominant at Guard. Its much harder to be a dominant center.

GREAT NEWS from bedard's monday evening practice blog as he reports hadnot moved to center and st clair played in his place at right guard. i wasn't ready to get excited about houck and the o line until mckinney was uprooted. i certainly hope this was not just an injury move and that they have decided mckinney is a bum and can't get the job done.

I agree, Mckinney has got to go :fire:

I love the Mare thing too. Great way to creat a pressure situation big enough to have his heart pounding a little. It's also great to read a report/blog that has more positive comments than negative. It seems the first week, it was about 35-65 positive to negative, sounds like it evened up a bit today, hopefully that's everyone using yesterday to rest, study (Playbooks and tape), and get more comfortable with what they're doing out there. I would love for an OLine of Carey, James, Hadnot, St. Clair, and McDougle to come together and be a strong group until Smith heals and that McKinney sits his @$$ on the bench. Hopefully week by week, they guys learn from their mistakes and start to do away with them all together and just play with instinct and don't have to think so much. I'm getting excited, 6 more days to Kickoff!

Seth Sucks...hopefully Hadnot can take over at Center or we can get one off the waiver wire later on.

I think you're right,Rex might be our best linmen when all is said and done.(by the end of the year) everything I've read on him is very promising.

I just hope everything is in OK order before the game against the BEARS
I mean everyone in the US is gonna be watching i hope the O-Line doenst look like a joke

He said he's gonna hold onto them until Spielman gets a GM job and then get a bunch of picks in a trade.
Yeah, Spielman and Wannstedt drafted those guys, but Rick also got us Rex Hadnot and Derrick Pope last year. Also, even though Rick overpaid for Carey, he has shown a lot of promise this summer in that he can man the tough left tackle spot. Rick made some good picks and also some clunkers. Just like every other GM. He does deserve a little credit though, IMO.

things are a changin. The two guys that sucked bad last year, mckinney and Smith, are now out. Blessing in disguise? We better start looking for a Center and fast! You cannot rely on Hadnot cus what if he gets hurt? Trouble.

That sounds like the best 5 starters left to right on the OL to me too. Cook, McIntosh, Alabi and McKinney can be the reserves. What I found surprising about McKinney is that in 2002 and 2003 when he only started part time, the team did very well running the ball in the games in which he started.
Here are the results from his three starts in 2003:
Opened at center in place of the injured Tim Ruddy (knee) at N.Y. Giants (10/5) as the Dolphins racked up 134 yards rushing on 30 attempts (4.5 avg.) in a 23-10 victory ... Started again at center in place of Ruddy (knee) vs. Baltimore (11/16) as the Dolphins accumulated 141 yards rushing and did not allow a sack in a 9-6 overtime win ... Started the following week vs. Washington (11/23) at left guard for an injured Jamie Nails (ankle) ... The Dolphins produced 317 yards of total offense, while rushing for 144 yards on 32 carries (4.5 avg.) in the 24-23 triumph.

Wow, that's pretty interesting, is that all with Ricky running?

i think the combo of hadnot and st. clair is much better than mckinney and hadnot
