Happy Ted Wells Day!

This is by far one of the most biased reports I have ever read.

No points on Martin joining in on the fun.

No points on Martin texting with Incog back and forth with same languange and tone.

No points on Martin drug abuse or suicidal tendencies.

No points on Martin stageing a walk out in the lunch room over the same prank pulled on another player.

Good job Teddy! We know who stuffed the money in your pocket this morning.

Ted Wells delayed the report in order to come up with more **** to help out a son of a former alum.

This is almost as bad as having a Red Sox employee head up a steroid report....oh wait, that's what happened with the Mitchell Report

The reports talks about all of those, its buried in there, but its there. While it does mention all of those, the underlying tone is that Martin was a victim.

"To be candid, we struggled with how to evaluate Martin’s claims of
harassment given his mental health issues, his possible heightened sensitivity to insults
and his unusual, “bipolar” friendship with Incognito. Nonetheless, we ultimately
concluded that Martin was indeed harassed by Incognito, who can fairly be described as
the main instigator, and by Jerry and Pouncey, who tended to follow Incognito’s lead. "

I find it disingenuous that Wells didn't find anything wrong with Martin's behavior or failure to deal with this situation in the appropriate manner by going to coaches and top leadership to discuss harassment. Huge failure.

The move to release the report later reeks to me. Wells has a connection to Martin's camp. Should have seen this coming.

No doubt the OL was abrasive and torrid, but it still doesn't appear to me that this was a bully situation. This was a situation where some vulgar men were chiding (what they considered) a buddy in a rough way, and that "buddy" never let it on that he was uncomfortable with that. Had he went to them and told them to stop this treatment, and they continued with the same treatment, that would be a different story and "harassment" would be more fitting. As it is, it was a guy who just kept it all in and didn't go through the proper channels to fix his situation. How is that anyone's fault other than his?

What an epic cluster this whole situation was. Thank Ireland for putting together perhaps the worst combination of aholes and vaginas this side of Tootsie's.

I honestly dont think anything is going to happen, Cogs is FA, Martin will be gone and Jerry will be gone as well. So who is left to blame Pouncey? It doesn't even say what he apparently did so meh.

It sounds like he did find exactly that wrong with Martin, but he also says that doesn't excuse the treatment he received. This report is all about how Martin was treated without context, and not about prevention or what should have happened.

I didn't read it all. But from what I read I come up with this: WHAT A STEAMING PILE OF DOG ****. If Martin PARTICIPATED, then he WAS NOT A VICTIM. PERIOD. If a person is THAT offended by something, you ask or demand the behavior to stop or go to someone else who may be able to stop it. The fact that he was a participant in all of the bull**** shows that he is just as "guilty" as the rest. I could go on a book length tirade about this, but I won't. What it boils down to, simply, is immaturity on all that were involved and a singular case of a player with vaginitis who simply didn't like where he was playing and **** on his teammates as a way to get out.

if there is one thing I've learned from high profile "independent" sports investigations, they ALWAYS have an agenda.

Wells and Martin's mom are both Harvard alums.

George Mitchell is and was a member of the Red Sox front office. ( hence why he didn't interview Paxton Crawford, leaked Paul Byrd's name during the playoffs vs Boston, and no major Red Sox stars were implicated)

I will admit though, that the part about Incognito and Pouncey constantly insulting an anonymous player with gay slurs and touching him in mocking manner is disconcerting and worthy of action. That being said, this report was about Martin, and none of these things appeared to happen to Martin, yet he was the one to snap? And in all this, where was Martin? Did he not once stick up for this anonymous player and demand better treatment? Inaction can be just as bad as action.

What a crock of ****; this is why I called for a committee, specifically a bi-racial committee to investigate who can look at this from an objective perspective, not an individuall who might be considered a race-traitor if exonerating the white guy and assessing culpability on the African American. Too many pressures. And that's why Martin's people hand-picked St Tony Softball(s) Dungy instead of someone like Glazer (which would have made sense since Martin would have been the interview "yang" to Richie's "yin") who would have been more contentious and not let all his evasions slide. This was a witch hunt to begin with. The racial component was bull$hit except to such foam at the mouth hypocritical racists like meShawn and Tom Jackson. Was it really coincidental that out of 1000+ texts, the few that used a variation of that word were the ones released. Of course this charade was pre-ordained from the get-go. All this report subjectively did was emphasize some blameworthy issues and conveniently minimize either mitigating circumstances or contrary issues. Any report where Martin comes off as a skillled player and victim after all we've seen is totally bogus and racially-driven to appease the drooling masses out for blood.

Beyond that, all the info therein was collected and collated weeks ago. I've contended all along that the only reason that this staged report wasn't released on a timely basis was because of the damning Martin texts that Incog released on the eve of it being published. At that point, the wording needed to be tempered and tweaked, the condemnations a little more diffused and extra pains to whitewash (pardon the pun) Martin's riole in this to justify the foregone conclusion even before the first bit of fact finding took place.

Yes, racism is contemptible; no one should be victimized, demonized and/or discriminated against on the basis of their skins. But it cuts both ways as we've seen here. Shame on Goodell for not appointing a committee more representative of the community. I'd say I've lost all respect for him, but I really didn't have much left even before this racially-driven charade
