hard knocks Observations Ep 2

I am not kidding or exaggerating when I say this, this was probably the best episode of Hard Knocks that HBO has ever made. I also wouldn't be surprised if this is the highest watched episode ever. The beginning was heartbreaking with Philbin talking about his son, there was a lot of great topics during the show and the ending with Chad being cut was something that is hard to describe. Philbin took charge, but you do have to feel a little sad for Chad.

Clearly domestic violence isn't something anyone should condone but I don't feel sad for him at all. Even if the chick is the most annoying person in existence, head-butting your wife is unacceptable. Combine that with Johnson's history of being controversial on the field and that he's on his last legs, the move makes sense to me.

fellas watch the video of some of those red zone plays...no one is getting open...no one...damn tannehill you got an uphill climb with this wr core

sounds like roberto wallace still isn't separating...big issue for him last year that i saw...if you play soft coverage on him you do him a favor...once we play for keeps if he's on the field he's gonna have to get off press and separate...

Absolutely that behavior is unacceptable. I completely understand why the Dolphins did in fact release him. All I was saying as a human being, watching another person get fired is hard to watch and you do feel a little sad for them.

Did you guys see that they made Samuda's (I think) hair into a penis? That was a little over the edge. Wonder if Philbin reacted to that?

the fact that sean smith was able to lock down ocho all over the field should tell you just how much ocho really had left...guy was washed the hell up if sean smiths taking him out i can tell ya that
Actually been reported several times that he is locking down all receivers in camp. Now that is not saying much looking at our flock of receivers.

b/t david garrard was wearing that compression sleeve during one of his post practice interviews where he said he was healthy...not sure i'm buying that...they don't wear those for a fashion statement

if you watch the games and that report is accurate you should know that is a big indictment of our wrs...cause he doesn't lock down anyone on the opposition...ocho was cooked...other than that outside back inside slant route which he was afraid of contact he wore sean smith like drapes...all i need to see

Not sure if Philbin was kidding, but his reaction was priceless ...... "We're all class here" or something to that effect. Too funny.

I noticed that as well, but what do you really expect him to say?

Also, do you buy the story about how he injured his knee? Sounds rather bogus to me. If you get hurt watching your kid play in the pool, its time to retire from professional sports.

Yeah, i saw the first episode and saw none of nanee, read the reports he's really wowing everyone so i hoped he'd be at least shown tonight.. As long as he keeps doing great in camp tho, they can keep him off HN. The thing with ocho though, this is his first OFF the field issue, and to see him get cut so fast is just mind boggling. Sure he's a loud mouth, arrogant, and even a risk.. But they should of known that before they brought him into camp.

Garrad throws a pretty good ball. Can't wait to see what he looks like when he's back In a few weeks

david garrard said exactly what the miami front office should cut him for...he said it was father time...once that kicks in you can forget about it ever going the other way in pro football again...miami needs to move on...

I wouldn't gauge anything from hard knocks. Most of that stuff is just supposed to be good TV. Realistically we won't know anything about this team until week 1 vs the Texans.

Phins UP!!

Was it just me or does Moore have the demeanor of the forever backup QB? When they ask the QBs to rate themselves he says "some good, some bad," Garrard mentions guys releasing the ball well, and Tannehill has the only semantic response talking about hitting his drops correctly. Then he's looking jovial in the study/film room, snacking, while everyone else looks like they're seriously working. When he's told he's going to be starting he's super surprised and acts like Rudy when he made the Notre Dame team. Matt Moore says in the preseason game "alright let's set the tempo," then throws a pick. Tannehill says "let's go score." Its clear which one of these guys is destined to be a true starter and which is just trying to be good enough to keep his job. Granted, I'm sure HBO editing has quite a bit to do with it narrating, I just don't see a desire in Moore to really go to that level, while Tanny seems like only a matter of time.
