In some circumstances yeah. But when a guy is responsible for what he did that got him fired and isn't something that he should ever do in any circumstance, I don't feel bad.
 
if hogan really is always open promote him to the 2nd team group or something...and see what he's got...all those catches i saw were against camp fodder

Exactly. Like I said in the other thread, people dont need to get excited about Sean Smith being able to cover Chad Johnson. We know what happens when he is covering Andre Johnson.

Reality is, Smith will face a better WR than Chad Johnson every Sunday for 16 weeks when the season starts. He needs to be able to cover those guys.

i liked how direct sherman was with the players in the meeting room...no sugarcoat from him...awesome...bout time someone finally held these guys accountable...now i just hope he can design a good nfl offense and use guys properly

I liked the fact that he isn't uptight. He had the room clapping. Those guys clapping are his players...he will be their captain soon.
 
I feel really bad for Chad. I understand why they let him go but after giving him warnings about the media and what not, he seemed like he was focused. He knew he was on a short leash, they already gave him too many chances. The "washed up 34 year old" was better then most, if not all, of our WR's. From what I understand, this was Chad's first run in with the law. I really hope gets a second chance because we all make dumb mistakes and he had a lot come down on him the last few days. If Vick gets a second chance after what he has done, I hope another team takes that chance with Chad. Can't imagine what he is going through right now.

Best part, he is the funniest guy and making everyone laugh. Seems like a really fun person.

I was trying to tell you guys....

Now his story comes out that he was watching kids play in the pool..... GET REAL. The guy was there to cash in on a signing bonus. He tried last year knowing he was going to have back surgery. When he didnt get what he wanted, he whined in the press saying no team was "committed" to him and basically told the phins organization FU. Then a couple of weeks later he decides to have surgery as if he wasnt going to do that after a team gave him a signing bonus. Did the same thing this year and it worked.

Like I said before, almost every NFL QB, especially the older ones, have some loose **** in their knees, shoulders, elbows, and ankles that technically could use some cleaning out via minor surgery. Just almost all of them, even the ones who have starting jobs locked down, have that **** done in the OFFSEASON.

Here's a guy supposedly competing for a starting NFL job, but wants to have surgery for something he likely couldve played through. The swelling..... trust me, Im sure Garrard knows how to make his knee swell. It probably swelled after every practice anyway.

Have you not heard some of the Marino stories? Dude used to suit up with so much armor and that huge knee brace. They say you could look at him after a game when he took all that **** off and be amazed at how he not only played, but played well.

****, look at Roethlisberger now. Granted, I think he likes the tough guy image he gets from announcing all of his minor injuries and playing with them, but he has a tear in his shoulder. Practices everyday. Dr told him he needs surgery. He said he will do it some other time. Most QBs dont even talk about their injuries though for good reason. They dont care about the tough guy image they may get. They dont want defenders keying on that ****.
 
roethlisbergers face was completely rebuilt like mr potato head...i keep waiting for an ear to fall off

well , he is not here to be the class clown, he is here to play football! i could give a rats ass if he is funny, we are trying to win football games, Being "funny" isnt going to help us win football games.

The "class clown" could have helped, he could have helped nanee, bess, etc.
