Hard to think Bills won't be better than Miami in 2014

Neither manuel or lewis will EVER be better than Tannehill.

Our problem is that our RB corpse (pun intended) can only dream of remotely approaching cj spiller's level.

And that's not even beginning to discuss Fred Jackson. He was a man among boys on Sunday.

You guys do realize Fred Jackson is 32, right? That is ancient by RB standards. He won't be there much longer, especially given the punishment he has taken during his career.

Bills are better than Dolphins now.

You are nothing more than a troll, that has become more clear every with ever ridiculous post you make.

As for Bills being better next year than us anything can happen but I don't see their future QB there yet, and I was half expecting a loss against Bills because they match up with our weaknesses all to well. If Miami is able to shore up o-line and fill some of our weak points then I don't see any way Bills will be better. We have our future in Tannehill he has learning to do but shown more promise than we have seen in years. When Moore stepped in that became even more apparent pretty quick.

the bills run game is getting older and their qb has taken some lumps in the road.. the bills only scored 19 points and even though they have the pass rush in football and create alot of turnovers they are still 6-9. they do have alot of weapons but fred jackson and cj spiller arent getting younger. non the less, they are probably going to lose bird and their oline needs work. their offensive weapons are nice and they keep games close.. wouldnt be surprised to see a playoff competitor out of them by next year but qb play will be the difference.

R u sure you are not a troll? Bills beat us twice this year, with a backup QB. It's time to face the facts.

Bills scored more than the Dolphins, in both games.

Yet Bills have no shot at playoffs and we do.. hmm.. That is a fact. Another fact we are 8-8 and Bills are 6-9. Did they have the better match up against us yes. Are they better team? not according to wins/losses which is all the matters in history and they don't have shot at the playoffs we do. These are facts.

the bills oline is definitely better than ours...god i wish we had the eagles oline...that is exactly what we want in this scheme...athletes and move athletes everywhere...best oline in football

as for the bills only needing a qb we of all people should know just how hard that is to find...if they don't get it they'll waste all those front 4 players in their primes and if anything be flash in the pan

manuel did look a little better than at flo st but that o under him this year was dumbed down and he never flashed high end ability...should they quit on him after one season no but it's not all that encouraging right now either...

EJ Manuel according to PFF has basically been the worst QB in the league. Geno's rating is worse but Manuel missed 6 games this year. Had he not gotten hurt he probably has a much worse rating then Geno. He is anything but a sure thing.

The Bills have talent but similar to the Jets have questions at the QB spot. Until both teams figure that spot out the Dolphins on paper are better moving forward. Doesn't mean Jets or Bills can't compete but without a QB they will always be fighting somewhat of an uphill battle.

right...neither one of you guys have the most mission critical position in football...until you do you never get over the hump...unless you got one bad ass d and a running game that kills people and even then it's flash in the pan stuff

it's refreshing to see a rival teams fan admit that tannehill is that level qb that everyone strives for...most wouldn't admit it

although if i was you i'd be quitting on geno after one year...

Sure, the Bills could underperform in 2014. But there are a lot of reasons to believe they could be the second-best team in the AFC East. If you don't acknowledge that and think the Dolphins as presently comprised or slightly better than presently comprised are good enough, then I think you are hoping more than thinking.

I agree, they've also improved tremendously at the HC position. Whether or not they have a QB nobody knows since he's been hurt for almost the entire season, but the posters on here that think we're heads and shoulders above the Bills aren't really looking at this thing objectively.

The Jets have enough talent on defense that I could honestly see them turning that team around if they manage to swing a deal for a guy like Jay Cutler or something.

I'm not a Cutler fan but he'd improve that team dramatically overnight. I feel the same way about the Bills, and that's why I'm glad that they both took QBs who look to me like they won't pan out. Treading water.

I'm not ready to throw our TEs out the window. Egnew made great strides this year and Sims did OK for a rookie. I'd like to see more use of Clay as an actual fullback for him to make sense going forward, OR, more of Egnew acting like a true fullback (which I saw work relatively well in limited opportunities). Egnew's not the biggest beast of a physical TE, but I think as a fullback his size could push a pile and open something up for Miller. Yeah, the more I think about it, Egnew should be a fullback more often and Clay should be the receiving TE or the 3rd down back. I'd like to see Clay get more draw-play runs to see if he can be effective doing that, as then it creates total confusion in opposing defenses on what he might do on any play (like, a screen to Clay that saved our season to that point vs NE).

If Miami can sign Grimes, grab another good linebacker to replace Wheeler and draft or sign another true pass rusher while maybe Dion Jordan becomes Wheeler's replacement, our D wouid be pretty good next year. Wheeler and the limited use of Jordan have really hurt Miami's defense. From what I've seen, Vernon has gotten a lot of coverage sacks. I don't remember him blowing up OT's very often and getting in quick. We still need a true compliment for Wake (and eventual replacement). We also need an upgrade for Clemons.
On offense, I think we can pick up one RB free agent better than Thomas. Kick Gillislee to the curb (yes, you can rub this in my face if he ever becomes great, blah blah) or let Thomas be the back-up's back-up. There's always good running backs available early in Free Agency and sometimes even in late July. We need to draft another WR who can develop into a guy (wishing for wishing sake) like Keenan Allen. We actually had that guy but we let him escape to Cleveland. Tyms, right? Kid looked good. Maybe that Binn character can make a spash in camp next year. Still, draft more competition. Then, but not least but first: Offensive line. Please God, let Miami acquire some effective O-line help.

Ultimately, all seems dark and down if Sherman remains in Miami.

I think it's REALLY wishful thinking to assume E.J. Manuel won't pan out. The guy had a pretty tough knee injury. It's not a 'durability issue'. Anyone would miss time with that. The guy who was playing great QB for Cleveland at the time got hurt in the same game and he was out for the year. Does he have 'durability issues?" That terminology gets overused and improperly used all the time. Dion Jordan and Jamar Taylor and Nolan Carroll are guys that have 'durability issues'. I wouldn't bet against Manuel becoming good any more now than I would've bet FOR Tannehill being good as of the end of last season.

nope, nfl is year to year, too many variables if you don't have brees brady or manning
