Hartline had an appendectomy

Y'all missed MY point completely ... I totally agree everyone has the right to announce what they want, including what Hartline did. I personally could care less about Hartline & wasn't the least bit curious about his issue.

Just said I don't think secretive is smart (my only point SMART) ... that's all. Smart to garner fan PR & support ... just my opinion ... backed it up with an example. Just an opinion. If you like secrets, fine by me.
 
Everyone likes "secrets", including you. Not a single person on the planet airs out every single detail of their life.
 
so the guys missing football activities for what you all have coined "a personal medical issue" and you don't think he should come out about why he's been out...i disagree with that...he's missing football activities including mandatory mini camps and under contract...it would be different if it was something life threatening or something but even then the media finds out about it...

i don't know when he had his appendix removed which is a common thing b/t but i don't think if its been more than a month ago he should have still been on the lamb during mini camps...that said it doesn't really matter to me its not like the guys all that anyways

if you're under contract and missing mandatory things for medical reasons i think something like an appendix should be fair game to disclose...

You think Hartline's worried about "smart PR" when dealing with a possible life-threatening medical situation (appendicitis)? Let me tell, you that's one of the last things he's thinking about. I actually didn't mind that Hartline kept it low key until after the procedure...especially since it's the offseason. No need to drive speculation or create unwanted attention, IMO.

That's not what people were talking about, though. Nobody is saying that the TEAM has no right. They do. They are his employer. WE have no right. If the team knows (they did) and they want people to kept out of the loop, that's their prerogative.

Matt Cassells appendix burst on gsme day and he missed one game.

Frankly I don't care if he missed camp, hell I don't care about the secrecy just don't feed into it. If he had time to tweet the pix he could have gave a update. There is no need for the drama and heroic speculation. Hartline was under constant medical attention most probably he went to medical staff complaining of abdominal pain and fever. They pressed his abdomen and flank found it tender and sent him to ER. They do a appendectomy via scope now, unless it burst then the use a open procedure to clan the bile out of the abdominal cavity.
 
the secrecy is lame to me...only reason i think they should disclose it is because he's missing mandatory mini camp which is part of his contract...you're getting paid to be there then if you no show for whatever reason i think the fans have a right to know...i don't consider this a personal issue where a plyer is excused...this is medical

but at the end of the day does it really add up to a hill of beans...nope
 
I was kind of holding out hope he got an equal librium transplant or at least tubes in his ears.
