When Brady retires Mallett will be ready to step in and the Patriots will continue down their path of success. If you really think the transition wont be seamless I feel sorry for you. BB is a genius and the one if not the greatest coach in NFL history. Sure he's a mother ****er and I wish death upon both he and Brady but let's face it, Matt Cassell looked godly in that offense. Ryan Mallett has all the tools to be elite in the NFL and sitting behind Brady for the next few years is only going to make him better.
We, the Miami Dolphins are ****ed. Unless of course Mike McCoy or Joe Philbin are indeed cut out to be HCs which none of us know at this point. You would also have to assume we finally get a franchise QB but if we haven't in the last decade or so, I'm not really expecting much now. At least we're not the JESTS who have a big mouth HC, a awful "franchise QB" and are continuing to implode. Those two AFC Championship appearances mean absolutely nothing.
We could be the Jets or Bills but sadly both those franchises have more respect league wide than we do. Patriots will continue to be in this situation for years to come. However, I do believe the Ravens can put a end to their run this season.
