Has it sunk in yet that...

When Brady retires Mallett will be ready to step in and the Patriots will continue down their path of success. If you really think the transition wont be seamless I feel sorry for you. BB is a genius and the one if not the greatest coach in NFL history. Sure he's a mother ****er and I wish death upon both he and Brady but let's face it, Matt Cassell looked godly in that offense. Ryan Mallett has all the tools to be elite in the NFL and sitting behind Brady for the next few years is only going to make him better.

We, the Miami Dolphins are ****ed. Unless of course Mike McCoy or Joe Philbin are indeed cut out to be HCs which none of us know at this point. You would also have to assume we finally get a franchise QB but if we haven't in the last decade or so, I'm not really expecting much now. At least we're not the JESTS who have a big mouth HC, a awful "franchise QB" and are continuing to implode. Those two AFC Championship appearances mean absolutely nothing.

We could be the Jets or Bills but sadly both those franchises have more respect league wide than we do. Patriots will continue to be in this situation for years to come. However, I do believe the Ravens can put a end to their run this season.

Haha....Yes the transition from one of the greatest QB's of all time to Ryan freakin Mallet will be seamless. LOL. Too funny!

Like other have said, BB got very lucy with Brady who himself got lucky when Bledsoe got hurt.....He's a good coach and has made the most of it but lets face it, odds are that their next QB wont be as good or even close to it.Having said that, we need to do our thing and not worry at least for now about what the other teams are doing.....that'd be like for me to have bad food cost as a KM but to say is ok cause other stores have bad food cost too. We need to turn our team around and then go compete and it starts with getting a damn QB.

Ozzy rules!!

I don't see the Patriots staying near the top. Every dynasty comes to and end eventually. The Packers of the 1960's, the Dolphins and Steelers of the 70's, the Niners of the 80's, the Cowboys of the 90's, and the Pats of the 2000's. I think the Pat's dynasty ended when their defense got old. They lost Bruschi, Law, Harrison, Vrabel, Seymour, etc. Now they have one of the worst defenses in the NFL and haven't beaten any teams with a record over .500 this year. Maybe they will win another SB this year, but I don't think they are the best team. They just have Brady and the best offense right now....but that might not get them another ring. I think once Brady retires the Pats will be a very average team. Look at what happened to the Colts without P. Manning.

The Patriots have been around the Super Bowl the same amount as the Dolphins have. The difference is the Dolphins appearances were in the 70s and 80s whereas the Patriots have all been in the last decade.

Patriots went to the Super Bowl in 86, 96, 01, 03, 04, 07. That's six since the Dolphins went last. Maybe #7 coming up. :tubes:

The Pats are one win away from another Super Bowl appearance...

Mean-while back on the ranch the once mighty Fins cannot even attract flies to coach this hapless franchise. We are who the Pats use to be and they are who we were when owned by the real man Mr Robbie. I guess the next change of guard will not happen until Kraft kicks it.

It has sunk in that a lot of "fans" in here are weak minded, negative as hell, and believe whatever the national media tells them

remember, the Pats were us until lightning struck in 2001. the desert that consumes, and the fire that burns... will reshape our greatness.
we shall overcome.

The Pats made it in the 80s, 90s, 00s and if they win this week it will be the 10s. Miami made it in the 70s and 80s.

Obviously the Dolphins suck, but at least they don't have fat *******s who talk **** whilst sucking and even after losses. It's completely embarrasing, and the Giants are proving once again why the ALWAYS have been and ALWAYS will be the team that runs New York.
The Jets are probably the 2nd most classless organization in sports behind only the Red Sox... And the Jets are a close 2nd only because the Sox still have seperate white and black drinking fountains in the clubhouse.

I will be accused of taking this off topic when again I didn't.

You guys would KILL for a coach like rex and if the Giants lose Sunday we'll have 2 title game apps in the last 3 years and they will have 1- advantage Jets.

The teams that run NY are the teams that win, NY was Jets crazy the last 2 years at this time and this year they are Giants crazy. You win you get all the positive press and when you don't you get the negative press.

How about head to head matchups, super bowl titles, or playoff performances over the last 20 years? You bring up '09 and '10 because those are the 2 very very rare instances of the Jets outperforming the Giants in an NFL season over the course of history.
The Jets made 2 flukey playoff runs and are back at home again after yet another abysmal late season collapse. The Giants are making another deep playoff run because they have a real quarterback.

Bumpus: I don't care what you say, just keep posting cause i freaking LOVE that Pic!!!
