Notes

I think Gase wants to keep and get something out of Osweiler to stick it to Elway

Cutting vested vets at DT. Spence is close to 3 million in savings. Pick one up after Week 1.

Lippett is done physically. Too bad. Good kid and had a promising 2016.

Looking for LB help this weekend on the waiver wire. Corner could be looked at as well, but that will be tougher to find.

Cutting Anthony/cannot play

I have options with the roster by IR’ing Hull.

Have fun with your predictions. Should be interesting.

Yea I think the Spence cut is a misfire. He is probably their most consistent DT and 3 million ain’t nothing. Somebody picks him up with quickness. He’s not Sam Young.

Also think you are light on the OL. Brendal is IR or inactive, he is not gonna be a straight cut tho.

Hull is going to IR so that gives you 6, but I see them cutting Poling and stashing on the PS. They could go cut diving here.

They will definitely keep at least 4 DTs. Maybe five with Spence and Langford.

They seem to like Zach Sterup much more than Eric Smith. Smith wasn't even starting in the fourth preseason game.

Can't see Poling making the 53. Maybe practice squad.

Asiata is cut unless Brendel or Larson is put on IR.

I agree with most of your list except we keep Spence, and one of the safeties, Smith or Lucas, is the player cut to keep the roster spot open for Spence. I think we keep Sterup over the OT Smith from UVA. Both Smiths are still PS eligible, and I think we stash them there one more year. I also think Poling has been invisible and gets cut, with us keeping Anthony instead. Though Anthony may get his walking papers if we sign a LB from someone else's cuts.

Spence has been outplayed by four other DT's and you keep him at about 3 million per? Wow...waste of money and space.

How many are you activating anyways on game day? Plus, few big bodies on return teams per rules.

Since they plan on a rotation, at least four DTs every game should be active.

He has? Godchaux has been underwhelming and Phillips can't be trusted. Taylor was out there all night. I dunno, think u are being a bit rough for little reason.

From camp, they have said Spence was a clear starter and Taylor was arguably right there as the best among the rest.

And DT is not where I would choose to save cap on this team.

It's your roster tho, I just disagree. We'll see.

Miami probably activates all 9 on DL. Maybe Taylor goes inactive at most.

I think I'd try to pick up a big-ish WR to fill in for Parker, who we know will miss 10 games...

in place of our least-best LB.

Spence is a complete ghost is what I think. Langford has totally outplayed him. Keep him for under 700k. Taylor has been excellent and Phillips is inconsistent, but has played well this summer in spots. When Godchaux makes a fraction of Spence, the answer is easy for me.

Davis plays nickle and returns kicks he makes it at cb
Poling to PT
Fales over BO imo
Eric Smith to PT he might clear
Hull to ir settlement
Alonzo and Garvin might make it but we will be shopping for 2 upgrades at LB for sure.
2 rookie QBs with Fales at backup QB this will be interesting to watch.
Spence will make it for the short term unless they think Langford is a temp upgrade. We also cannot trust on the health of Hayes he gets hurt to much.
Armstrong to PT. We are loaded at cb this year imo. Hate to loose Lippit he will come back around imo. But with Davis and Armstrong both and their ST play it makes him expendable.
Owosu maybe just me could be special hope he make PS or maybe he might be a long shot canidate to make team if Parker gets traded.
Our young DE have some promise imo.

If it’s down to Lucas and Smith, I reallllly hope it’s Smith.

Agree to disagree. The new DLine coach requested he brought in and he has put up better stretches of consistent DT play over the course of a season vs any of the other guys on the roster in recent years. He gives the team a quality veteran presence at a thin position. 3 million is peanuts.

The game that mattered, he started, and the starting defense gave up 3 points in a half of football.

Not sure what else u are wanting to see in preseason that will make u feel more comfortable but he has had a good camp and his leadership has been praised with the young core on this unit.

Think he is very safe.
