Hayden Fox's Preseason Week Two Assessment

There is no way in hell 4.7 is the norm for Jarvis Landry.

He ran a 4.5 at pro day I'm not sure why everybody harps on his combine which he was hurt for

have you ever seen him with ANYTHING else?

when folks have nothing to say, have no insight or understanding of a subject, this is what they do.

just children at play man. not worth a mention.

did you mom have ANY kids that lived? :chuckle:

5) Thank you to Ireland for M Wallace....but not really.[/QUOTE]

While Wallace may not be connecting alot with Tannenhill he still has the speed to get open ! And opposing defenses must show him some kind of respect! Which helps other receivers in getting open and making catches! So he is still doing a lot of what he was brought in for which is stretching the field! I never cared for Ireland but this was still a needed pickup! And I think being with Tannenhill another year will help! Both are young playera and both can get on same page!

The one thing I haven't seen mentioned on the Wallace deep ball until a few posts ago was that the contact there before the ball was even close was a far more obvious penalty than most of the ticky tack that's been called this preseason due to the new rule emphasis.

Agree with the OP except for the part about Wallace.

We had plenty of receiving yards last year. Wallace and Hartline both had 1,000 yards I think last year. (No complaints about Hartline though..he somehow gets a pass).

Our major problems last year did not include a lack of receptions, it was scoring points. We were terrible in the red zone, we were terrible in the run game, we were terrible with short yardage and we couldn't pass protect for the QB. Those were our problems, and those are issues Mike Wallace can't fix. What you need to fix those problems are better QB play, better scheme, better O line blocking, more RB yards, and a big body in the EZ to grab passes.

Wallace`s salary is 3 times bigger than Hartline.. That might be one reason...

Brian Hartline sucks at catching contested footballs or when he's getting hit. Everyone knows that. Much like everyone knows the dude sucks at picking up yards after the catch.

He is what he is, no reason to get mad about it.

What difference does that make? Anyway, Hartline with his last big contract is making more than most other players on this team.

Plus, Hartline benefits from Wallace drawing coverage from opposing teams best cornerback. He should have WAY more yards than Wallace, and more TD's. He doesn't.

* Ryan Tannehill was sharp tonight. He got the ball out quick and was accurate. His ball handling slowed down the Bucs pass rush.
.

Look at this fake:

Don't know if this is Lazor with his attention to detail or not but things like this and the fact that our ability to get a yard much easier with the QB sneak will make a pretty big difference. The bad news is learning a new offense may take some time but if all of these guys can survive another year together we could be deadly next season. Like Super Bowl contender deadly.

Lazor's passing game is going to be nifty. It just is. Best OC we've had since Linehan. Every glimpse we get of it makes me more and more confident in Lazor's ability and how beneficial it will be for Tannehill.
