Heads Up From a Steelers Fan

Well i can't speak for my brethren here in Dolphin land, but since all my freakin friends are Steelers fans, I've watched them quite a bit over the last few years. first lets get it out of the way right now that pitt is a better team, and you are favoured to win. Fine. But most of the reasons you cite border on the ridiculous.
1. Run Run Run duce. What... with his 70 yrds per game and 3.6 yard avg against two mediocre Ds? Be my guest.

2."Burress going long. I would expect Plaxico to be more involved with Ben at the helm. I think Plax will get more deep corner routes under a Ben-led offense."
All this insight from their half game together? R-E-L-A-X. As for Ben, Mia D held last year's NFL MVP to 70 yards, and brutalized the latest Rookie (OK not technically, but whatever) wonderboy. Time will stop for Big Ben this week. He'll impress soon..just not on sunday--especially if Surtain is back.

Don't get we wrong, you'll still likely win this game. But no one's worried about Duce or Plaxico or ben. You'll win the way most teams will against us: By watching our O self-destruct. If Mia couldn't handle Cinci's basic blitz packages, they'll go retarded trying to stop Pitt's. duce will have nothing to do with it.
Mark my words, Duce will be effective. I would also argue that the Oakland and Baltimore Ds are pretty decent, too. He would've got more carries against the Ratbirds if we didn't fall behind like we did. Duce is 242 lbs this year and he churns his feet well. I think you'll be surprised come Sunday.

P.S. How 'bout them Leafs, eh? I do know a little hockey (if you can figure out my handle name).

Yeah, I saw that before. It is great. Did you watch the draft one? That is by far the best one.
Yeah, that one was good, too. Dennis Green and the twinkies. Cowher spitting in the phone incoherently. LOL

Is Myron Cope(sp?) still yapping up there about Steeler football? God that guy is annoying like Gilbert Godfried.

LOL. Cope is the man. I spent my freshman year of college out in western PA so I saw and heard a lot of Cope. That guy is hysterical.

You make good points, but the tallest of the three CBs you mention is 5'11". I think we will try the "jumpball" routes for Plax. They are actually relatively low risk, given Plax is 6'5". This will be a change from Maddox, who consistently looked for Ward and Randle El down low.

I also think Duce will have a good day, which will open up the play action and take some pressure off the pass rush.

It will be a hard fought defensive struggle, but I think our offense is stronger even with Ben making his first start.

Your receivers may be tall but they won't be able to jump for the ball if it is tucked in your QB's gut while he lies on the ground. That is my point, they won't be able to get downfield, much like our receivers weren't able to because Big Ben is oging to be feleing the heat. I think our teams are actually very similar in many aspects. I expect it a low scoring affair and a tos sup for whoever wins. I odn't expect much from Miami this year so it is no shock o me if Pittsburgh wins. Of course, I can't pick against them officially so Fins 13 Pitt 10. :)

I agree that our OL is barely better than yours, but I think Ben's mobility is better than you saw in Palmer last week. Therefore, I think he'll have a bit more time to launch downfield. Don't get me wrong, I think we'll only do this a few times during the game, but enough for it to be a factor.

my mistake, thought for some reason you played Cle. oak, I'm not impressed with. My statement on duce still stands. The Leafs suck. yes i am a fan. But they suck. Fins come first. Always have. will trade Leaf 10 stanley cups for 1 Fin SB. Love the handle. Todd got a raw deal

Considering Miami couldn't run on a Bengals team that gave up over 200 yards the previous week, it doesnt really matter how good your Dline is.

The game will be decided on which QB makes more costly mistakes.

let me tell you guys after that loss to the bungles the fins are pissed. pitt or who ever is in front of them sunday is getting there *** kicked. fins 21 pitt 0

We will not run youre correct, Burress going deep doubtfull. Dont be blind sided by our offense and assume that Ben Worthlessburger will tear up our defesne. Our D has only given up one touchdown in 2 games. Im thinking we might see more of Brian St. Pieere after we knock the snot out of Worthlessburger.

Miami 21
Pitt. 6
awsome awsome thinking and we will knock the SNOT OUT OF HIM LMAO:lol:

Whats up Bert....its apparent these guys don't know who Hines Ward is. ;)

Some are changing their tune real quick about the game. All the quarreling and giving up about the season has been put aside lol.

Yeah, before I posted it seemed that their season was over, now the Fish are worldbeaters. ;)

If Feeley doesn't throw a TD for the Steelers, we will win.
seriously. No more "ill spot you 7" BS this week. Rough week for Ben to get his first start. Expect Seau to blitz and Ben to throw acouple INT's. Surtain and Howard should be back..... thank god. Without them we wouldnt be able to match up against Randle El when Pitt goes 3 wide. Pitt has probably one of the best WR corps in the league and I think we are one of the few teams that can match up with them.

Well we know who hines, plaxico, and randle el are. We also know who Surtain, Madison, Howard, and Poole are. You guys have one of the best WR corps across, its just that we ran into the same thing last week with Warrick and Johnson in Cincy. Our defense has only allowed 1 touchdown this year and has been completely smothering. With us getting 2 starters back in our secondary this week, I dont see our defense dropping.

This will be a tough game for Ben to get his first start. He cant make any mistakes for you guys to win. Should be another low scoring affair here in Miami.
