Heath Evans - Why He's a Dolphins Hater

I knew a post this long had an agenda. Masterfully navigated all the way back to your point. Yes, Heath Evans stealing a playbook is the reason we were mediocre, well done sir ..well done.

I have thought about your post all day and you are correct in that one item does not explain the continued mediocrity. However, that one act is part of the ten thousand or more acts occurring over the last fifteen years that have created a culture of mediocrity that several head coaches and general managers have been unable to change. The fact that this particular incident came from Nick Saban should surprise no one. The man is an idiot savant -- ungodly gifted in leading college football programs and hopeless in any other environment. The ultimately moral of the story is that you fire a man in person.

Well, I just always thought Evens hated the Dolphins, because he a very sensitive douche, but after reading that, now I know Evens is an extremely sensitive douche with a vendetta...Now We Know, and knowing is half the battle. :)

Heath Evans hatred of the Dolphins is pretty obvious. I'm actually not surprised to find out that there is a significant story behind it. Generally when a player has represented a team, he has a bit of an affinity with the team.
Well given the situation and the likelihood that Heath will be around on NFL Network for the next 30 years, someone from the Dolphin organization should attempt to mend some fences. I still think that there is no excuse to hand the playbook to a competitor, but the vendetta against the Dolphins seems pretty childish.

So he is a thief. Admits he stole the playbook and have it to the patriots. Anyone think that Belecheat refused on ethical grounds. Nope, I didn't think so. Both of them are POS.

Heath Evans= a mediocre NFL player who thinks he is somebody. He needs to get over himself. He's a major league crybaby and jackass to boot.

There is literally no other way to put it. I HATE HEATH EVANS. I can't stand the sight of him I don't know what NFL network see's in this guy. NFL network is like a patriots show half the time with that *** and Willie meginest.

Everything in life is relative, but Evans getting canned is simply not the equivalent to me as the iron worker or firefighter getting laid off.

the new POST OF THE YEAR!!!

well said HF. but, it sure looks like evans doesnt share our sentiment on the matter. i have known about the reason for his hatred since it happened. BUT....., i didnt know about the playbook thing. especially the, "heres miami's playbook, its yours, i dont care if you sign me or not" thing.

he hurt EVERYONE on the finz, not just the coach and gm but guys he played with and for. people who had NOTHING to do with his being cut. this puts him the brown thing in the toilet class of individuals. the finz obviously saw things in him they didnt want and it looks like we now know what some of it must have been. NOT a team guy.

not a good guy.

THE NFL should absolutely BAN this kind of thing. its one thing if a player CURRENTLY on the team leaves his playbook in his hotel room on the road and the opposing team gets ahold of it. BUT, taking a playbook and offering it up to another team should result in a HARSH punishement by both the player AND the team that takes the playbook. draft picks given up. massive fines. players getting MULTIPLE, MAYBE EVEN FULL SEASON suspensions.

walking into another team with a stolen playbook and handing to the gm/coach/owner is so wrong on so many fronts. billicheat should have told him to take that playbook and get out of his office and IMMEDIATELY informed the dolphins what had just happened.

but, we all know THAT didnt happen. don shula would have done just that. he would have run the player off and IMMEDIATELY informed the other team what transpired. billichek can yak all he wants about being a fan of don shula and how he was his coaching idol but he is NOTHING like don shula and the camera scandal and this playbook thing show that.

now i REALLY want to beat this team!! [and give evans a beat down for good measure!!].

RE turning over a playbook -

This seems like something that could be handled with the right contract terms and conditions.

I hate to lawyer up but it would be fairly easy to tie players hands in this regard - expose them to huge potential liability for sharing proprietary information.

Additionally the NFL front office could grow some and put out some severe penalties for this unethical behavior. Of course I'm not waiting on that since the are pretty much belly crawlers.

Short of beheading no punishment is going to keep fringe players from breaking rules to keep the dream alive. For this reason PEDs will always be a problem, all the league can do is stop it from spreading like a cancer among established players, and the only way to do that is threaten banishment. In this case Belichick is the one that needs the book thrown at him. Facing a year suspension and loss of draft picks would surely make him think twice about choosing to gain whatever edge he got from the playbook.

The individual who cut Evans in that manner started this whole mess.

Must I utter that name which does not even deserve to be pronounced?

BTW evans just admitted to basically theft, theft of intellectual property, theft of proprietary info... you get the idea. There are several crimes in play here, which could arguably have cost the Dolphins substantial $$$. Both civil and criminal avenues should be pursued to go after this guy.

Did Evans do this when he was then cut from the Pats? Probably not, was he bitter? No he was happy he got to slurp brady!

This to me proves just one thing. Belicheck will never be as great as Shula! Ever!!! Shula had integrity, this is what made him the best ever. Belicheck or Saban. al will never be or should ever be mentioned int he same breath as Shula. I think back to the the NFLN special on Shula and how Csonka stated that he found the game plan for the game the next day against the Raiders and gave it to Monte Clark the OL coach. The Fins were crushed the next day by the Raiders. When Csonka asked why, Clark said that Shula threw the game plan away. That was not the way Shula wins games. That is the moral to this story. Belicheck thinks he is getting a competitive advantage, but he is cheating. He has no morals or ethics and should not be considered even slightly in Shula's league I look forward to the day when the PATS are again the also ran of the league. That day will be here shortly. It may even start this year. How I miss the days when the Dolphins were the premier franchise in the NFL. They still are one of the Mount Rushmore franchises. If anyone says anything different they have no knowledge of football.

I believe belicheat actually would have read that playbook as well and game planned with it in mind knowing his past. Stark difference between he and Shula when players found the Raiders playbook in their locker room, handed it to Shula and Shula told them to get it out of his face.

The NFL Network should fire this guy. The Dolphins should go after him hard.
