We could go on forever about flaws we have, players that are under producing or injured, or even how inept our coaching staff is at times. We could discuss how Carpenter missed two easy field goals against houston, or how our defense didn't come up big when they needed to against Cleveland.
The bottom line is, all these things would be forgotten if Henne stepped up when the opportunity was there. I don't think anyone would argue that we would be 3-0 right now if we switched qbs with our oppoenent for each of our 3 games. What McCoy did is the same thing that Rodgers would have done, Brady, Manning, Brees, and any other winning qb; and they would have done it regardless of who the oppossing defense was. Meanwhile, Henne could not get us 15-20 yds. The sad thing is, I knew he wasn't going to. There was no doubt in my mind that he was not going to get those yards (I left the bar before the last two plays even happened, with not even a shrewd of doubt that we would lose).
If your qb doesen't have that killer instinct, your never going to be better than mediocre.
