Henne is looking like the solution for the Miami Dolphins

listen, I was at the game tonight. I thought that he played better than he has. That being said, He made one play on a botched coverage and then brandon made the TD.

He got sacked a bunch from the OLINE being useless, but he also took a few sacks because he still doesnt know how to move in the pocket.

Let me say this again. He was better than chad henne of last year, but thats not saying much.

This team is going to lose games specifically because of the Oline and because of henne.

Now I was surrounded by bucs and dolphins fans. We had a few discussions. the bucs fans that said they know what its like to have bad teams said henne sucked. the dolphins fans all want sporano gone, henne gone, and for the most part all would love cowher (this was like a crowd of 10-15)...

Henne is not the answer and will be gone next year.

- Botched coverage??? Clearly you ONLY WANT Henne to fail. It is evident in your entire post.

- Doesn't know how to move in the pocket?? You say you were at the game, what were you watching?? You make it sound like he had lanes to move to when he dropped back and within two seconds he is getting pressure.

- The third sentence that I highlighted answers what I said at the beginning about you. You clearly want Henne to fail regardless of what he does. In your mind it's what he has done in the past that fills your mind's opinion on him now. You fail to give any credit for progression and for consistency. People like you will chalk that up to "pre-season".

I don't know why I am wasting my time responding to posters like you, guess I am bored and just finished watching the game again. Just sad that there are "fans" of this team that would rather want to see the team fail so they can type the "I told you so" then give credit to a player who has shown the work he has put in this off-season.

You, my friend, are a sad fan of this team. Hope you enjoy this season when the Dolphins do something bad, apparently that's what brings you a smile.

Chad Henne could bring us a Super Bowl, and they would still look at the negatives of his performance. "We only won the Super Bowl because of botched coverage...." sigh

I'm not a Henne fan, and still think he lacks some qualities of a good NFL QB. That being said, his YPA (9.9) through 3 preseason games leads the league. It's leaps and bounds better than his YPA from 2010 (preseason, 6.0, and regular season, 6.7). Coupled with a 60%-ish completion rate and hopefully decent TD:INT ratio, he really could give us a good season. It's becoming clear that Henne in this new offense can be GOOD ENOUGH for this team to reach the playoffs. The big question mark for me is no longer Henne, but rather the O-line.

I didn't get to see the game...just highlights. I keep seeing posts about how he "missed the open man in the end zone" on 3rd and goal. The only view I got from the highlight looks like he bailed do to the o line collapsing, and the receiver broke open as the DB came up in run support (and henne had already pulled the ball down and committed to the run). But like I said, not really a good look from the clip I saw.

I'm ok with Henne sucking as long as he posts 77% completion lines with no interceptions. But that's just me, maybe I settle for too little. :d-day:

Exactly. I was just about to post that. Admittedly, it is hard to see in the video, but I don't see him being open until Henne tries to scramble. It's around the 1:15 point.

if he is one of the best players on the field like last night then henne is getting better, that only helps the phins. fixing the offensive line is not as hard

This, I agree 100%. I am one of the bggest Henne doubters, however

I am not impressed with his rating and all that this preseason. I am not impressed with his YPA. This is preseason afterall

However, what impresses me is a change in his mentality in one area. He is letting his WR'S go after the ball. He is giving them a chance.

Henne doesn't have to be spectacular. He just needs to be consistant. Henne might have imprved just enough to do that.

Even a Henne doubter like myself can look at this preseason and think we might d some damage this year.It may just be preseason, but I think Henne played well enough to deserve the support of even his bashers going into the season

You just know that if Ireland let Elway bend him over and Mr "3andout Orton", he with the sub 60 career 3rd qtr and 2010 4th qtr QBRs, performed like Henne did last night, a certain FH contingent would be mentally ejaculating as it just boils down to different strokes for different folks:idk:

I'm far from saying we have the QB position solved, but I am impressed how he has played the last 2 games. Even my dad( a Giants fan that follows the Fins) called me after the Carolina game wanting to know who they guy was wearing the Henne jersey. Henne seems comfortable out there directing the offense.

lol at the henne homer fans getting preseason b0ners because Chadborg has played his *** off for 4 quarters.

[sarcasm] I'm so excited [/sarcasm]

31 other teams are waiting for you to cheer them this year............please move on.

Next time you go to the game why don't you watch it instead of spending the whole time talking to a crowd of 10-15. Then maybe you would see that what you just said is idiotic. Blown coverage......the corner was all over him. The ball couldn't have been placed any better than that!!

Now that you have hopefully sobered up go watch the game highlights and see what really happened. This is getting ridiculous.....
