Henne is positively progressing. Will be fine!

What three years??? Last time I checked he rode the bench his rookie season. Then got thrown in the fire his second year after pennington got hurt. He started for the first time in his career last season. Get off his back. Anybody want to say he did bad last year I agree but no one on this board can say he sucks. Yes he has some accuracy and decision making problems but what young quarterback doesn't?? He threw two picks last nite and he has to man up to both of them. Give him so credit though. The TD pass to hartline was on the money. I don't care if it was blown coverage or not. He recognized the defense mistake right? Earlier that drive everyone thought devone bess made a nice one handed catch. Did u see the throw?! Instead of throwing another pick Henne saw the corner reading the route threw it over him and landed it on the back shoulder of bess. One year ago no way Henne made that kind of throw. No progression? Yea right.

Henne was forced into action because of injury to Pennington, yes, but he wasn't "thrown into fire", he had been prepared to take the reigns for a year and a half and even Sparano was saying at the start of the year that he would like to see Henne in there at some point in the year (please note, he wasn't dissing Pennington's performance, in fact he was really praising it).

I'm a firm believer that sitting for a year can really help a young QB, but most QB's of the future take the reigns at some point their second year, usually at the beginning.

Why the constant reference to Michigan in this thread? He played good enough to get drafted didn't he? Wait b4 that thought let me save ur fingers some energy...what a horrible draft pick he was blah blah blah..I've watched just as much tape on henne as anyone and ill be the first to admit he has A LOT to work on. At least he is trying to get better. Would u perfer a QB that sucked AND didn't show any interest in getting better? Just like the rest of these QBs that came out these past drafts Henne needs to improve in a lot of areas. Trust me guys we could have a lot worst.

Just wait for the season to start. Anyone can argue and see what they want now. When an actual game is on the line, let's see how much has or hasn't changed from last year. I wasn't too impressed with his performance myself, but the tiny bit of optimism I still have is just saying wait for the season to start. We'll see what it really is when it's show time.

No he isn't, sorry but Henne is a terrible QB and you guys are better off with Matt Moore(which is sad) and are definately in the luck race.

and the Jets would be better off with Vinny Testaverde

Man your everywhere on the boards aren't you?

Hey I've already agreed Sanchez isn't an elite or great QB yet and is just right for the Jets, dont hate. :chuckle:

Nah after the Henne sucks thread I went looking. Being stuck in a hotel in Taiwan gives you time to **** with people.

Don't come to a rival forum and expect grandeur and roses to fall upon you. Especially if you call someone out.

I expected hate, just playing around. I have been on a few forums posing as an eagles fan on the Giants thread bashing them. I am honestly a Jets fan though and I dont expect much from Henne but won't be suprised if he steps up this year either.

Unfortunately you missed my entire point which was to stop complaining for every single damn thing in the first game of the pre-season with little to no real practices.

This first game just gives all the people that have already claimed Henne will amount to nothing something to complain about, totally ignoring that fact I just mentioned at the beginning.

I mentioned Brees because he too showed rust, which IS TO BE EXPECTED, due to the little off-season there was.

I can't speak for the majority of people on this board but I for one am still reserving my judgement when there is more that needs to happen to really know what you have.

Hopefully with practice the second and third games will start to show players with less rust.

I, for one, am just crossing my fingers that we don't lose a single player due to injury during the pre-season.

Brees showed he is rusty Henne showed he still sucks!

Henne's 2nd int was horrid, and his TD came on broken coverage and he still under threw the WR.

Guys (and gals), this microanalysis of every throw has gotten ridiculous.
If the pass was underthrown, then why did Hartline have trouble keeping his feet and fall forward into the endzone?

I gave Henne plenty of time to prove me wrong. He's making the same poor throws he always has. Either he leads the WR into the defender, or throws at their feet, or behind them. Sure a great receiver can make some of those catches, but they are still bad passes.

Chad Henne altered the physics of the planet we live on. Don't bring your hocus pocus science into this.

"Just Fine" ... for Henne, that means .... 3-Peat!!

Now you know what looking down the barrel of a 3-Peat looks like. That light at the end of the tunnel, is a speeding locomotive!
