Henne is positively progressing. Will be fine!

Again, all you look at are the mistakes. Did you not see that he was keeping his eyes downfield? Even as he was scrambling? Or weather or not it was braken coverage, he made that pass right on the money to Hartline. I am in no way saying he is an elite top 15 QB, I am just trying to open some of you guys mind. I have been just a frustrated as you for the last 20 years as a Dolphins fan. But, at the beginnig of every year I still feel as if we are going to win the SB. Try being po offsitive sometimes.

Being positive isnt being delusional. Im rooting for him, but im not going to pamper him either. He showed nothing more than what
he showed last season. Our offense look horrible last nite plain and simple. Im not panicking because it was the first preseason game, its just a reality check to the players that your not near ready for the season and a lot of hard work is needed to be ready for the first game.

I want to be a good NFL QB too! Can I have 6 or 8 years of fat paychecks for losing to try to fulfill my dream?

I root for Chad to do well because I love the dolphins. A reporter asked Henne if we would change anything he was doing this year, and Henne said no I won't be changing anything. And if the first pe-season game is any indication of Chads play this year then he was telling the truth about doing nothing different. He still stares down the receivers and has accuracy issues I hear people saying the INT to Fasano was Not Henne's fault but I disagre if fasano did not have to turn his hips back around to locate the ball and Henne hit him in stride then it would of been a positive play instead of a negative.

What progression? He still made inaccurate throws, and still had staring contests with his wide outs. He looks exactly the same as last year though 8 preseason pass attempts.

He was not lost. He was looking down the field to make a play. He did not panic when rushed. He made presnap reads. He demonstrated he knows the offense. He escaped two rushes. Do you even remember how badly he played last year. He may still fail to be a winning QB, but anyone that did not see improvements last night just is not looking. For the record, we should have brought in a better QB than Henne. I am not a Henne fan, but I refuse to let preconceptions prevent me from seeing improvement where it CLEARLY EXISTS.

Come on i can see how someone can get mad at some of these post. Nothing in that game can suggest that Henne is getting better. If that was Henne progressing, he was worse than i thought lol.

Go back and watch a game from 2010. Then watch last night. It will be very clear that he has improved.

O.K. so I usually come on this board and read everyday. Just to see how the team was doing or peoples opinions. I know this is another "Henne" thread, but if anyone looked at the game. I think he is positively progressing. For instance, the first thing that popped out at me was that he actually was keeping his head up and looking down field when pressured. Last year that was one of his biggest issues and one thing most mentioned on this site. Now did he have a stellar game? By all means "NO", but if this was a real game with all the play calling and starters, he would have had a better game than most think. Am I defending him "NO", but what he is what we have this year and everyone needs to realize that. Stop nitpicking every little thing he does. When he fixes something, then we just find something else to prove our points as fans. Yes, the second INT was a bad pass. To be honest, I just think he was trying to make a play. I don't know his thoughts, but at least he cares. That means he has character and wants to do good. But, just like in life, if you constantly keep getting beat up by people it tends to wear on you. At some points he probably trying to prove him self too much. The same thing any of us would do if we were in his shoes.

I agree, and like the poster, I usually never post..I guess I am a "lurker". But I watched the game today on replay, and I was encouraged with what I saw. Sure, that 2nd pick was a stinker for sure, but the first one was all on the Fasano. Not even gonna debate that. Hell Matty Fricken Ice threw one more behind AND higher, yet the Falcons wr (Heerms or something) jumped up, reached back, and took a pretty good shot all the while hanging on to the ball and not just gift wrapping an int. for the defense. A couple passes earlier from the "Iceman" right into double coverage and only against the Fins d an int. is not made. Now granted, the laser into the endzone was as gorgeous as a pass you might see...but c'mon, the td pass from Henne was nice as well, not behind as some have suggested, in fact, Hartline had to stretch for it and was off balance going into the endzone. He made blitzers miss, ran for a 1st down and DID progress, and all without 2 big offensive weapons, a running game, and his starting all world monster LT Long. I cautiously optimistic for the next game. Go Fins!!!!

The people who want moore were the same ones crying for thigpen LOL we all know how that turned out ( shut out ). moore is garbage and henne is mediocre as of now. our QB situation sucks. moore wont beat out henne and as of now he is our best chance at winning.

They need to open the playbook for Henne. The 2 picks he threw, 1 was dropped by Fasano, the other the team sent out TWO wrs, and both were double covered.. Why do you only send out 2 WRs out on the play with no checkdown option..

The ONLY progression I seen from Henne is, he was a little less erratic, and he was quicker in avoiding the blitz.. Still though, he made a terrible decision on that second interception when he should have through it out of bounds, Terrible accuracy. Im losing more and more hope on this guy as the game goes by. Whatever this regime wants to do, they do, but if they don't have a winning record by the end of this season and isn't fighting for playoffs contention, I want them gone.. I don't want to waste these guys prime with a terrible coach and have them ending up leaving in FA because this Regime REFUSES to get a TRUE Qb.. If they want to put all their marbles in the Chad Henne basket, then let them, but if he doesn't perform and this team under achieves. Henne and this Regime needs to go.

Come on now. A good QB would just throw it away. Besides, that INT was so far way off the mark anyway.

Yes his ints cost us games wake up I can think of at least 4 last year alone. You think he will be fine, but you fail to realize is the mistakes Henne are the same mistakes that have haunted him since his freshman year at Michigan. Hr has not progressed he is not developing. Last night provide he is doing the same things that he did last year.

This is why I completely discount your statements. You sound bitter. You repeat the exact same statements. Even though I saw him make these mistakes during Michigan games, I am beginning to believe He did not because you keep mentioning them. I do not care about anything but his pro career. I will listen to that. Talking about Michigan is ludicrous!!!

Can't believe there are still people supporting Henne. Makes me wonder if you even watch the games. If you do you have no idea what you're seeing. I'm not just talking about the turnovers. I'm talking about the mechanics on his play.

As constantly stated, until he stops keeping his eyes on his receivers too long and continues to misread defenses this will be what it is.
