Henne is positively progressing. Will be fine!

They need to open the playbook for Henne. The 2 picks he threw, 1 was dropped by Fasano, the other the team sent out TWO wrs, and both were double covered.. Why do you only send out 2 WRs out on the play with no checkdown option..

The ONLY progression I seen from Henne is, he was a little less erratic, and he was quicker in avoiding the blitz.. Still though, he made a terrible decision on that second interception when he should have through it out of bounds, Terrible accuracy. Im losing more and more hope on this guy as the game goes by. Whatever this regime wants to do, they do, but if they don't have a winning record by the end of this season and isn't fighting for playoffs contention, I want them gone.. I don't want to waste these guys prime with a terrible coach and have them ending up leaving in FA because this Regime REFUSES to get a TRUE Qb.. If they want to put all their marbles in the Chad Henne basket, then let them, but if he doesn't perform and this team under achieves. Henne and this Regime needs to go.

Me and you saw the same game last night. The bess throw was bad but thats the only negative I got from his performance. I saw an improved henne with good pocket awareness. Everybody acts like they didnt see him escape on a couple of biltzes, one was a pass to bess which was dropped and the other he ran for the first down. He did pretty good without 3 of the best player in the offense. And yes I am a Henne Believer.

Me too and he is the STARTER

Henny has no penny after the seasonm, he is playing for a contract next year whether Phins or from someone

There comes a point in time where after watching someone you say he will never be a top 15 quarterback. I root for Henne and understand its preseason game 1. But he just doesn't pass the eyeball test. Never will in my opinion

Then the problem is you. You have admitted that you have developed a bias. What that means is that you will magnify any bad play he makes because it validates YOUR opinion of him and will minimize any good play because it contradicts your opinion.
Quite frankly, he didn't play enough last night to formulate an opinion one way or the other. He was 4 of 8, but there were 2 other catchable balls. His 2nd int was clearly a poor read, however, Sparano stated that the WR ran the wrong route.
The 1st int was on Fasano and I don't wish to debate whether the ball was behind him (it wasn't). It was an easily catchable ball that any average receiver should have caught and he threw it in between 2 converging defenders.

For what its worth, the terrible pick Henne threw was a wrong route according to both Henne and Sparano. Sparano said it should have been a big play. Obviously Henne still threw the pick so it is what is is...just something to ponder though.

What it is happens to be Sparano making yet another excuse for Henne. Davone Bess was 5 yards behind that defender, and that defender would have been in the area no matter what route Davone ran by the time the ball was thrown. Wrong route or not, that pick is entirely on Henne, because he's the one who threw the ball right to where a defender was and where his receiver wasn't likely to be.

19 interceptions in 15 starts. Statistically, one of the worst QB's in the NFL when the game is close.

The opinion here is that Henne is not a bad QB, because all the stats say he is.

Wouldn't matter if we sent out 6-7 WR's. He'd only be able to see one of them anyways.

Funny, I thought we were talking about last nights' game, NOT last season. Read my post in response to fatkirstyalley regarding bias.

So you think a game where 2 out of 8 of a QB's passes were intercepted is good? You're the the one trying to justify something that the numbers don't say, it's not the other way around.

Not sure how Henne is positively progressing. He still makes god awful decisions/throws. That 2nd INT was as bad a throw as you'll ever see. Sad thing is, that's been the norm for Henne since he's been here.

I've explained it in some detail in a prior post on this thread. Please read it. Fasano is at fault for the 1st int. Nowhere did I ever describe his performance as 'good'. In fact, I stated that he didn't play long enough to make a fair assessment.

Then we will just have to go by the rest of Henne's career. The point is that you can't accuse people who don't like Henne of forming biased opinions when the numbers throughout his career say he is a bad QB. Stats are as close to fact as you could get, even though they aren't perfect.

Henne is a bad QB until proven otherwise, which he surely didn't do last night.

I agree, and like the poster, I usually never post..I guess I am a "lurker". But I watched the game today on replay, and I was encouraged with what I saw. Sure, that 2nd pick was a stinker for sure, but the first one was all on the Fasano. Not even gonna debate that. Hell Matty Fricken Ice threw one more behind AND higher, yet the Falcons wr (Heerms or something) jumped up, reached back, and took a pretty good shot all the while hanging on to the ball and not just gift wrapping an int. for the defense. A couple passes earlier from the "Iceman" right into double coverage and only against the Fins d an int. is not made. Now granted, the laser into the endzone was as gorgeous as a pass you might see...but c'mon, the td pass from Henne was nice as well, not behind as some have suggested, in fact, Hartline had to stretch for it and was off balance going into the endzone. He made blitzers miss, ran for a 1st down and DID progress, and all without 2 big offensive weapons, a running game, and his starting all world monster LT Long. I cautiously optimistic for the next game. Go Fins!!!!

The people who want moore were the same ones crying for thigpen LOL we all know how that turned out ( shut out ). moore is garbage and henne is mediocre as of now. our QB situation sucks. moore wont beat out henne and as of now he is our best chance at winning.
