Henne is positively progressing. Will be fine!

In the words of Styx: "Your fooling yourself...........and you don't believe it!"

I see absolutely no progression in this kid whatsoever. He played last night like he played last year, like he played the year before. I see no difference.

And trust me, I wanted to believe in this kid, I wanted him to succeed. I even bought a Henne jersey last year when I went to the Jets game in Miami.

Great post. Some of you should read it. Puts things into perspective.

I stopped reading when I read this:

"These are the fans that, as long as the Dolphins quarterback isn't Dan Marino, will never be happy with the quarterback. "

Like we're a spoiled fanbase or something. Aside from Pennington's year in 2008, this fan base has suffered through far too many years of poor quarterback play. We're not looking for a Marino in Henne, we're looking for a guy who can play solid and keep us in games, something Henne has shown us he can't do up to this point.

Damn near everyone who posted a reply proved my point. You all have some other reason why he sucks. He does one thing good, lets bash him for something else. I read in another post, " It seems like more people on this site want Henne to fail than for the Miami Dolphins to succeed. " Seems that way to me. Reality is? There is noone else out there that will do much better than Henne. He is our quaterback for 2011. Lets rally behind him and the team. There is always so much neagativity on this sight. Negativity is contageous. I actually saw some progression. Some things take time and a progressing QB is one of them. Unless you got lucky and drafted an elite one. Odds are against that. Most of you don't want to see it or have blinded yourself with all that negativity to see it!

ANy progression or momentum will forever be overshadowed by backbreaking, glaring fundamental mistakes. It doesn't matter if it is fair or not or if it os only one play out of 100... Until he cleans that up, mistakes will be his measuring stick... He is inconsistent period.

I only needed to read the first 2 paragraphs of that article to realize it was worthless. There is no parallel between Henne and Grossman except that they were both young. Grossman had spent his first three years in the NFL dealing with horrible injuries. Also, an article that makes one of its major points making run of Brian Griese being called a good backup is flat out insulting my intelligence, because they assume that I'm going to think negatively about him based on stigma when I'm smart enough to realize that Griese's career QB rating of 82 is pretty good for a backup, and that I also remember Griese had just gone 5-1 as a starter in Tampa before Zack Thomas took out his knee.

Terrible, terrible article, and don't try and pass this crap off as meaningful when I watched every single start that both Grossman and Griese made in Chicago.

There's no need to really go in depth on this discussion. Chad Henne ****ing blows. For all the reasons aformentioned. End of story.

Next time you head south from Weeki Wachee say Pinellas county bring that jersey and we can take it to the gun range and vent some frustration on it ;-)

Your on, I actually have a new Business I'm starting in Pinellas, I was born in Clearwater and grew up down there.

I'll give you this about Henne, he is better than Andy Dalton, which means Cinci will be ahead of Miami in the Andrew Luck sweapstakes.

Dunedin here. We can take that thing to Knights and go full auto on it! What kind of business you starting?

Progression means that a player learns from his mistakes in the past and begins not to make those mistakes anymore, or at least minimizes those mistakes.

He is still staring down receivers, he is still pretty darn inaccurate, and he is still throwing bonehead balls that end up being intercepted.

He threw 8 balls.
50% completion is bad.
2 INTs (one was not really his fault)
One TD as a result of broken coverage
One great catch by Bess.

That kinds shows me he still sucks.

Yeah Henne sucks but the most irritating thing is our line still can't run block for ****. All the early picks wasted on linemen that could've gone to a play maker, our glorified offensive line coach playing head coach and our line still blows. Those of you who think we re a good QB away from being an elite team need to get your head out of the sand because Henne isn't our only problem. It's sickening that we have a head coach who s only experience is an offensive line coach and most wouldn't want the guy as a line coach.

As was pointed out by Herm Edwards, he has not broken the habit of starring down his receivers. That is one of the major issues as well as his reading defenses.
