Henne Moore & Delvin for QB? We're Not Gonna "Settle" With That...Are We?

Im hoping that Ireland isnt serious about Moore, Henne. Maybe he's just not gonna let himself get swindled, just because Zona is desperate.

Hey Dr. Slimm. How do you see your boy Julio Jones doing in his first season in the NFL? I know his success will depend heavily on how well Atlanta's LT plays, but all things considered do you think he might be ok? I mean we know Atlanta's LT is only average. I dont know what they have a QB, but that dosent really matter. If Jones dosent do so well, maybe we can trade for him. Id bet he could put up huge numbers with Jake Long playing LT which of course is the key to the QB getting the WR the ball.

Dude that is f'ing funny...

This is a picture of Nick Saban. One Of our 8 coaches since 2000, & you can put any of their images with that quote, change the QBs name, & it's the same siht over & over. We REFUSE to get a franchise QB. We always wanna "groom" mediocres into Manning's & Brady's. Damn, it's really depressing this QB thing keeps going on the same mediocre path.

god this site is sarcastic / demeaning / and depressing right now (and most every day)

Interesting.

I forgot, what's Ryan's record in the playoffs again? Isn't it 0-2. Astonishing considering an elite QB is what would have made that difference.

How can some of you still knock the Long pick when Ryan has done nothing in the playoffs. Unless you believe an average rating of 70 on the playoffs is something to cheer about?

Looks like the "Franchise QB" is just as unsuccesful in the playoffs as the "Franchise LT"

Agreed. And Carson Palmer is also 0-2. Obviously no one is content with the QB's on the roster, but at least allow the Orton situation to play itself out.

I prefer to hope we get Orton.. but prepare for Henne. With F.O. jobs on the line Henne doesn't have room for error. He simply has to perform, because so many peoples butts are in a sling.

I like that he seems to be responding. But we're still far away from seeing it translate on the field on gameday leadership.

Irelands refusal to throw money at Orton tells me his job isn't necessarily on the line, but definitely Sparanos.

Yep and before last year Rodgers had exactly ZERO playoff wins.

I agree. I just love how people use the Ryan/ Long situation make all these jokes "haha hehe funny" "yeah Jake Long making passes" hehehohoho

Yet...Ummmm..... Where is that Post season success that many of these people indicated. Looks to me like Long and Ryan have had the same success. So all this just looks foolish.

I actually think Devlin is going to be a pretty good QB...though you wouldn't want him starting this season. I get that Miami fans seem to be down on Henne, and maybe rightfully so. But other than Orton what QB would you have even wanted?

Vince Young is unstable emotionally
Kevin Kolb has fewer wins than Tony Banks (and a losing record)
Matt Hasslebeck has seen his better days
Marc Bulger is pretty much finished

I'd rather have Henne myself.

But don't you know that Ryan, regardless of playoff record, automatically propels them to contender status year in and year out? Getting to the playoffs is more of consolation prize to WV than not getting there, regardless of overall outcome. Ryan could turn into the next Jim Kelly and WV would rationalize that with "at least he is in the playoffs"....

I think the overall bottom line here is not so much about Matt Ryan but about the ineptitude of our front office versus the Steelers, Saints, Packers, Patriots, etc of the NFL. Matt Ryan under Dan Henning is still a failure.

Atlanta has lost to the superbowl champions, and the superbowl runner ups in the playoffs... it's not as if they're only scoring 3 points at home in blowouts to wildcard teams. What's Matt Ryan's record vs. Bill Parcells/Jeff Ireland/Tony Sparano/Jake Long/and Chad Henne?

Aaron Rodgers has been in the league 7 years and just won his first playoff game last year. Steve Young and Phil Simms were both in the league 8 years.... Peyton Manning and Drew Brees 6 years... Eli Manning, Troy Aikman, and Phillip Rivers were all in the league 4 years before they won their first playoff game.

Matt Ryan is entering his 4th season...

Since when does post season success dictate what a quarterback is worth around here anyway? Mark Sanchez has more post season success during his first few seasons in the NFL than any quarterback in history other than perhaps Ben Roethlisberger... How do you folks feel about Mark Sanchez?

All that post season success for Matt Ryan.... it's coming. Matt Ryan is going to be in this league for a long time winning football games and competing for championships....

...can't quite say the same thing about the guys that passed him up for Jake Long can you?

You homers can't even be consistent with your arguements out of desperation to defend this regime, you keep contradicting yourselves....that's what looks foolish.

But but but?

How can you cheer and watch the Dolphins? I don't get it. You really have to enjoy hating life to watch the Dolphins.

I would hate life if I was Patriot fan, with Bellicheat and his bums. Ocho and Haynesworth will be a cancer on the team. You will definitely be hating Sunday watching them on the sidelines comparing paychecks.

Henne doesn't have room for error....so what happens when he does make that error? We throw in the superstar waiting in the wings, Matt Moore?
