Ok first I'll comment on the Saints players, James Allen is a starting linebacker for the Saints he's had a knee problem in training camp, but he's the starter for this season, so he won't be getting cut.
Alfred Fincher is someone else who will be on this team, teams do not, repeat do not give up on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round picks in their first season. Players drafted that high are almost assured a one year grace period. Fincher has struggled to get the mental part of the game down so far, but he may be one of the team's most physical linebackers, he's currently 2nd team but could end up a 3rd team player. Everything depends on a veteran linebacker signed in the offseason Ronald McKinnon a former Cardinals starter. He could end up a starter if he learns the defensive scheme in time, he was signed the first day of camp so he wasn't around for any of the offseason programs. Fincher though is quite safe with the Saints.
Mel Mitchell - He was a promising prospect two years ago when Sage ended his season on a below the knees block in a preseason game against the Dolphins. Mitchell likely still is a backup, but Bellamy proved a capable starter and Mitchell hasn't been quite the same player since recovering from his torn knee. It's possible he could be cut, but likely to remain a backup.
Boo Williams is where things get interesting, he was a starter last season, he has a lot of potential but has proved to be very inconsistent, his second year he played great when he first broke into the starting lineup, but struggled in his first year as a fulltime starter for the Saints. He had a lot of dropped passes and fell into Haslett's doghouse. He's had a good camp, but another promising prospect is now the second tight end and Ernie Conwell remains the starter. Zach Hilton has taken Williams role as a consistent receiver at tight end, Lamont Hall a blocking tight end is almost assured of a roster spot. The fourth spot if there is a fourth spot could be Boo Williams or Shad Meir a free agent from the Titans that was injured early in training camp. Keep an eye on the last two games, because Boo Williams is fighting for a spot, and despite what some fans think the Saints have a very talented offense and are deep at every position on that side of the football.
Jim Verdon - He could very well be the odd man out of a numbers game on the defensive line, he probably will be cut if he makes it through waivers he'll be on the practice squad, but he is likely going to be cut although he does have a promising future, but with studs Darren Howard, Charles Grant and Wil Smith along with quality backup Tony Bryant there is not much room for Verdon.
Other Saints worth watching for - receivers Az-Zahir Hakim, Talman Gardner and Nathan Poole one of those players could be cut possibly two of them, depends on the numbers they keep at receiver. Hakim and Gardner had a chance at being the 3rd receiver but Devery Henderson a former LSU product has distanced himself.
Quarterback the favorite subject for the Saints Bouman or Kingsbury are the only ones on the chopping block.
Linebacker - Sederick Hodge, Ronald McKinnon, Lavar Fisher, Roger Knight and T.J. Slaughter are potential cuts they will sort themselves out in preseason.
two other players that caught my eye on your list from the Falcons, Boley he's a rookie he'll get a a roster spot, I'd be shocked if he's cut, Lavalais, sorry that's wishful thinking he was a starter the end of last season at times, he's a highly touted prospect on their defense, I don't think he's going anywhere. If I can think of some other players I'll post my opinions of them later.
