We've heard from multiple source who believe that Jets coach Herm Edwards wants out of New York after five seasons on the job, and that he's interesting in the potential vacancy in Kansas City.



Edwards, obviously, would deny such desires smack in the middle of an NFL season. But with the Jets falling apart this year and heads potentially poised to roll in light of the bungling of Chad Pennington's injury, Edwards surely has thought about the future -- and it's not beyond the realm of reason to conclude that Edwards might want to jump before he gets pushed.



The Jets are 41-41 in Edwards' tenure (including the postseason), and the team has made the playoffs in three of his first four seasons. There have been constant rumors of tension between Edwards and G.M. Terry Bradway.

interesting. we'll never hear anything other than this till after the season, though
 
I wouldn't blame him. He has done nothing with the Jets and he is prob tired of never having a complete offense and defense. The Chiefs would be a good place for him to go IMO.

Lets hope not. Despite all the criticism, I think Linehan can be a very good OC for us. He just needs some better talent on that side of the ball(aka The QB position).

As for Herm leaving rumor, it would be a big loss for the Jets. Sure they are not good this year, but he is a good motivator.
 
Why would the Chiefs want him? Hes alright but there are better coaches to hire.
 
Interesting news to say the least... I'm surprised Herm Edwards would want out and I'm just as surprised he would want to go to KC. :confused2
 
He's a lousy HC...Chiefs would be hurting themselves if they gave him anything more than a coordinator's position
 
He may be the worst head coach in the NFL today (Mike Tice and him are fighting for that title). For him to be calling his shots and where he wants to go is a total joke. The guy is lucky to even have a job.
