He's Doing It For The Money

Of course he's doing it for the money...I want to know one person on this board who WOULD'NT do it for the money (and if you say you would'nt you are a liar).

The guy has a chance to get an 8.6 million dollar debt off his back.

That being said...he also has to be commited...if he was ONLY doing it for the money he'd get himself killed. This is the NFL...not tiddly winks...you better WANT to be there.

I still don''t trust him, I still don't think having him back is a good idea, I still think he is a quitter and I still think he is basically Mike Tyson in football pads (only in it for the money)....that being said I'll be screaming my a$$ off when he turns the corner, straight arms Takeo Spikes in the mouth and runs for a 45 yard touchdown...

The one thing I have to remind myself...and ALL Bill/Jet/Patriot fans on this board...when he left he was a top 3 running back and TORE you guys up. It's not like he is 35 years old...he is still in the prime of his career.

I think if his head stays straight and he wants to...he's a top 10 MAYBE a top 5 runner...that makes me giddy and should make AFC East teams afraid.

Pothead quitter or not...the guy was damn good.

I'm going to go on record...and Nick Saban's presser todaty made me realize this...we ALL make mistakes. Anyone on this board who has'nt done something they regret is a liar or a born again liar.

I still don't trust him...but the difference between now and 2 months ago is I'm willing to try...he's a Miami Dolphin....I have to give him a chance.

Screw the self bump...I never start threads...I think I will based on this...

How is he a horrible person? Has he injured anyone? What has he done that makes him horrible?

Matter of fact I think RW is a fine person, just not the type person who we have grown accustom to seeing in the NFL. His life is not football and that is something most fans have a hard time understanding.

I consider it to be an enormous character flaw when a person quits his job just so he can smoke dope. I think smoking dope is a character flaw in and of itself.

Considering there is a major push for medical pot & we all know smoking helped him deal then it may not be as huge a flaw as we might think.

Maybe at the time his problem had more of a grip on him then playing football.

As I said previous. RW took the hard way out of Miami last year. Sticking around & failing another test would have been much simpler for him to do, since the fans base really could not have the hatered it has for him now.

I do respect RW for doing what he did rather than just failing another test to get out of the year. I know most will disagree, but if you did not want to play then walking away took courage

He is only back for the money! say what you want, but thats the fact jack!

3 kids that we know of, trips all over the place, who the heck would hire him in the real world? He had no choice! Repair his image and go out on good terms was his only choice for a future (a future with earnings!!!)
YOu never no, yeah people play for the money, but Ricky isnt like most people. Who knows, he might have came back because his love of the game. Yeah he needs to pay off his debt, but with the vet minimum as his contract right now its going to take awhile to get the kind of money he needs. Just have alittle faith in our old and also new runningback.

Of course he is and so are all the other players. T.O. is not holding out because of the uniform colors. All the draft choices that were waiting for Alex Smith to sign are waiting for what? Christmas. No, wrong answer. The money. So what, get over it and let the man play.
