Well, Hickey most likely would be a great source of info on his knee and how his rehab/return developed over his year in Tampa - which is a good thing.
Depending on the overall FA strategy this year - if you have a spare $12-15m :) lying around and you want to take a punt and look at it as an opportunity to bring one of the best in the game in to the team - there's a big by product of the 2 young draftees from last year and oft injured CB's behind him, being able to learn some serious stuff.
If the cap space is there once you have filled your needs, i.e. resign Starks and attempt to solve the other 3 OL positions - then hell, I'd be all for it, knowing that the likelihood is that the cap jumps a bit next year, you could end up getting him for a 2nd year.
Now for the reality - it's unlikely. But... stranger things have happened like paying $11m/yr for Mike Wallace :)
