Jeff Darlington just said on NFL network that Dennis Hickey was instrumental in bringing Revis to Tampa...maybe try to bring him to Miami. We have the cap space to do it.

that's probably not a feather in his cap seeing as they gave up a 1st and now 4th rounder for a 1 year rental and the Jets got the DROY w/ one of those picks(other one coming this draft).

Kuchley and Quinn were DPOY....

Revis is not coming to Miami. We won't be on his radar at all. If I am wrong I will come back to eat crow.

There not grading the move. Their simply stating Hickey gave up the house to get him before. Why not go get him again.

You only need money to aquire him this year

Well, Hickey most likely would be a great source of info on his knee and how his rehab/return developed over his year in Tampa - which is a good thing.

Depending on the overall FA strategy this year - if you have a spare $12-15m :) lying around and you want to take a punt and look at it as an opportunity to bring one of the best in the game in to the team - there's a big by product of the 2 young draftees from last year and oft injured CB's behind him, being able to learn some serious stuff.

If the cap space is there once you have filled your needs, i.e. resign Starks and attempt to solve the other 3 OL positions - then hell, I'd be all for it, knowing that the likelihood is that the cap jumps a bit next year, you could end up getting him for a 2nd year.

Now for the reality - it's unlikely. But... stranger things have happened like paying $11m/yr for Mike Wallace :)

Why not get involved and drive the price up for the Pats?

I wouldnt mind having him, but only as long as we get 2 other OL BEFORE we sign him. If we don't have enough room after that, then oh well

Revis and Grimes would be a no fly zone and it would make sense to have 2 great CB's with 2 SS's playing.... But it won't happen. Although, stranger things have happened, I never would have thought the Fins would have gotten Reggie Bush or Brandon Marshall, or even Chad Pennington/(Do I say it?) Daunte Culpepper for that matter.

I think Revis is gonna take the most money he can get.

I think he is going to the place where the money and his choosing is right.
