From PFF, and based on all pressures given up, not just sacks, although they are given more weight. Before you hit the Panic Post, think about overall pressures, in the spirit of the holidays. :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, even the OL.

What this does not account for is the fact that the Dolphins throw the ball quicker than most teams. Earlier in the season only Denver threw it more quickly. Look where they are on the list. It also doesn't account for whether the opposing team blitzed or not. In short, the numbers are fairly worthless, just like the OL.

Amazing how stats can be manipulated to show whatever you want.

I watch games. Our line sucks.

Keep jerking the stats whatever way you guys want.

It accounts for nothing other than the fact that sacks given up are not the only thing, as many think, for an OL to be good or bad.

How much quicker has RT thrown for the year? How did RT do vs the blitz? If ya bring it up, ya should back it up. No?

Great to have someone here who watches Phins games. So, of the 626 pass plays you watched, how many did the OL suck on?

You watched each one, Right?

I guess I just imagined Tannehill getting slammed to the ground over and over again every week

It seems like a good chunk of our pressures are happening in about 1.5 seconds whereas I don't see the pressures as fast with other teams. I could be wrong though.

That was the most preposterous combination of drivel I have ever read

Are you disputing the recorded stats or, saying that the 58 sack on 626 pass plays should be all that matters?

The 4 NFL quarterbacks who have the fastest release of the football, on average, are:

Andy Dalton
Peyton Manning
Ryan Tannehill
Matthew Stafford

3 of those teams are #1, 2, and 3 on that list. Guess which team is all the way down in the middle of the pack?

Think I'm making this up? Go to PFF or wherever you pulled these numbers from and check the average time to throw for all NFL quarterbacks. Ryan Tannehill was #2 on that list at one point -- when we were giving up 4.4 sacks per game and on pace to break an NFL record, in fact. I believe he's currently #3 or #4.

This year, RT has been sacked 5 times in 373 drop backs in under 2.5 seconds. He has been sacked the other 53 times in 178 drop backs in 2.6 or more.

Here we go with stats that never tell the whole story.

Pass blocking is bad.

Watch the games with eyeballs.

Tannehill sacked 50+ times this season.

Lamar Miller couldn't block me on Facebook if he tried.
