The haters already want them gone before the season even begins (which doesn't make much sense to me), so this question doesn't apply to them.

For the "homers", a rational discussion on expectations.

How many games must the the Dolphins win in order for you to support Sparano and Ireland retaining their jobs?

They have to win a minimum of eight. Ross has made it very clear mediocrity isn't going to be accepted. 8-8 wouldn't be a "winning" season, but it's still a step in the right direction.

8-8, and the offense has to be a real attack offense. If they put out a prevent offense like they did last year, and even if they go 10-6 I want them gone. It's all about what type of offense they put on the field. It seems like this franchise has played nothing but a prevent offense for 12 flipping years, I'm tired of it.

Playoffs or they are out in my opinion...That is what I bet Ross is feeling.

I think 10, but if i had to guess its more Tony fighting for his job then Jeff.

Have to be about .500 and a legit above .500. If we finish 11-5 or 10-6 and barely miss the playoffs they're safe, but if we weren't even in contention for the playoffs, Sparano is prolly gone

I think Jeff is safe no matter what. Ross and him have a good relationship.

Tony is on the hot seat, regardless of the extension he got this off season.

10 wins and I think Tony can keep his job.

just one....a playoff win. If Miami makes the playoffs and gets thrashed again in their 1st game than I think Ross pulls the plug. If Miami goes 9-7 and wins a playoff game Sparano is spared...If Miami goes 10-6 or 11-5 and lose their 1st playoff game he's gone imo.

why would you fire him if he made the playoffs? that is pure insanity
