hoops scoops cowboys fins...

tannehill needs more reps against different zone coverages in this new offense so he can find the soft spots...he knew the old offense like the back of his hand there's some hesitation in his play in zone drops in this new one...i'd be showing him all kinds of looks in practice from the d at half speed and working up to full speed so when he ids coverages he knows or feels more comfortable about where the plays are there to be made

and i don't like the play call on the fg the first team offense did get...a zone drop defense and we throw the ball to the half back in the flat on like 3rd and 8...basically you are playing for the field goal if you get a under zone...especially when the d only has to account for a really short field in it

more than that though tannehill was slightly off with a lot of things...catchable but no real rac ability...high on the screen to miller over his head tipped ball high over the middle to hartline over his head on the zone sit down in the middle of the field at the sticks drop had wallace catching balls on the sideline but going to ground to do so...balls that i have seen tannehill throw on ropes in years prior...

just not a good day for the starting i believe franchise caliber qb in making...no doubt though show this kid a lot of different zone looks and coverages in practice to get him up to speed...god knows the patriots are going to

I like what I have seen of Turner as well. I believe that moving him between OG and OT has hurt him, as it would any rookie. To a degree, I understand why the team does it but, think he would be further along if they just worked him at LG, and more of a challenge to start.

boy am i seeing an awful lot of zone drop vs our offense...and a lot of underneath routes being run by us...i think if miami trust the protection we've got to threaten teams more vertical hoping it's just saving it for the regular season...not necessarily over the top but in the intermediate at least...tons of underneath zone routes and clear outs

Coordinators are game-planning Tanny's weakness.

Lazor stressing to get rid of the ball quicker does take some time to adapt to.

No question that he's not quite comfortable in this new scheme.

And Hartline looks lost trying to make plays on his own and in the middle of the field, imo.

So new scheme and security blanket Hartline out of his bread-and-butter = struggle for a while.

We have to expect it, imo. And wait for it to click. A few key parts added in at skill positions and OL and this offense is gonna be good.

Hartline will be gone after this year. He's a sideline runner. This system is so far beyond him its not even funny.

abramson says miami didnt show anything saturday night they better not have cause what i did see belichick will eat up...come out with something new...right now this offense isn't as intuitive as the philly one at least for what we've revealed...but again we may be saving it

if teams are gonna play all this zone it's critical that we hit them with tempo and late motion to confuse the responsibilities and communication...tempo has to pick up

it was a pre season game. just wait until he lets loose until Lazor lets loose. you shouldnt show any of your offense in the preseason I doubt you will recognize the offense vs the patriots

I'm pretty confident Miami showed how it plans to run the ball this year...the read option...to keep defenses honest we will have to implement and use different sets with the skill position players especially where we step back off the inside read option and fake and fire the football over the lbs and in front of the safeties...misdirection and wide stretch and you can sprinkle in some toss plays here and there against soft edges but bread and butter sure looks like read option and the inside zone run game off of it...short yardage also

They know they won't win many straight ahead matchups...work the inside read option step back and bang em in the middle of the field from the slot...also work pa off the hard lateral action...keep those lbs playing honest and you can make some yardage with the run...if you let them just fill gaps you wont
