Hoops scoops...fins chargers

The one play to me that really stood out was the incompletion to hartline, seemed like such easy pitch and catch. After watching it a few times it looked like Hartline ran it deeper than what Ryan was expecting as the ball is out of his hand right at the break. Should have been a first down and the game is over basically. Sherman as the OC is killing me Hoops, killing me. I so agree that this guy has to walk. We have talent and the only guy we seem to use well is Clay. Jesus motion Wallace, run a drag route with Wallace, maybe a screen with Wallace, maybe tell your qb to just throw it as far as he can and let Wallace run under it. Read option plays, lets see them a few more times. Damn team just crash down our line showing no awareness that Tannehill can run. I bet the Panthers will be doing the same thing, just crashing down on our line. Give them something to think about. Do it early. I hope Coyle has learned also that our guys can beat people straight up and stop all the stunts and twists on first and second down. Stop giving easy running lanes. Run that crap on obvious passing downs. Also, why not try a double screen to a guy like Egnew, he's played great as our FB but maybe give the fake screen to Miller and turn and throw to the open side. Double for hartline maybe as well. We actually have lots of weapons I love to see Sean Payton with our weapons, my god the game plan would be sick.

yeah tannehill has a lot of space on the keep if he does keep it when he is reading that de...cause they are a crashing down to the inside...run some clear out vertical routes on the outside and let tannehill gain that corner and turn up field on the sideline til they rally to the ball before stepping out..

shermans been good in the red other than that i'm not happy with his calls very much

panthers will probably stay at home cause they won't respect our running game...if there was ever a time to unleash the gadget and trick plays in the play book this sunday is the week...cause physically they gonna beat us up if we try and play em straight up

I am not mad at that throw. RT was being very careful there and threw it too far outside. He knew he could not throw a pick there, so maybe he was being a little too careful...
I would have preferred a short pass to the middle of the field there, less risk...

There has to be a pass off the zone read keep in the arsenal somewhere

I agree, we have to go against our tendencies. Double screens, double moves, but also screens, lots of them as Tannehill will have to get the ball out quick this game. I don't see a running game materialzing in this one at all. But if we start the game with some screens and let their big boys chase a bit maybe we can wind them a bit. Tough matchup. But I do think we can get the other TEs involved this week and make head way. But also some quick long balls, three or five step drop with a throw deep, let Wallace burn it.

I agree with you being very cautious which is nice to see but a miss that far, on those timing routes your depth has to be perfect. Didn't matter in the end. Thank goodness.

i'm sure there is a pass off the zone read keep somewhere...better be...do what the skins do with rg3 let him keep it take a step back and fire an incutter behind the stepped forward lbs and in front of the safeties...hell that's washingtons pass o in a nutshell and makes for an easy read for the qb and chunk yardage...

We are asking Sherman to be creative....that's like asking the Florida Sun not to shine....

i would suggest miami this week use dion jordan to spy cam newton...cause if you leave it up to say philip wheeler well you know what will happen then...

cam wake and vernon gonna have to bring it sunday cause panthers ots are pretty solid and they will use a lot of read op/pistol sets and run downhill with those backs and newton...better hope cams off...gonna be tough to get to him this week

and mike tolbert downhill in short yardage is a monster

Yep, Jordan has to be used as the spy this week. But encourage him to delay blitz. Keep Wake and Vernon containing and have Jordan just run up and hit. Like the play against Luck but finish this time. Solai, Odrick and Starks need their big boy pants on. None of this stunt and twist crap, let them beat up the oline like they can. Push the pocket and give Cam no where to step up into.

yeah the games we play up front defending the run don't make a lot of sense to me...especially when our backers are so late to fill and overrun things

Wheeler and Ellerbe are the sole reason we are allowing so many yards to the running backs. They have 0 instincts. Literally the worst instincts you can find and they can't read the o-line worth crap.

Ellerbe is a little better but then again neither can shed blocks.

Reshad Jones is another story all together. He is playing awful and I have yet to see him have one impact play all season outside the INT TD which isn't even anything he did well. Its gotten the point where they are putting Clemons in the box more often because Jones is screwing up so much in the box or even as the deep robber.

wheelers awareness in space is horrid...yeah you got outside contain on the te and your out there completely clean looking at the play the entire time the back cuts it back up just inside of you ideally the inside pursuit help gets there but dammit all your untouched flow laterally inside a step or two and make the tackle for 2 yards...instead he stays outside and the back goes right by him and worse the outside contain is gone as he flares out to the sideline and a 60 yard run...

saw another play should have been no gain wheeler clean overruns it turns into 8 yards...chris clemons so ticked he throws his head up in disgust...

ellerbe is get by able but wheeler is horrid

i rather they put odrich at RE and have starks and soliai at the tackle spots vs the run happy panthers ,yes and jordan needs more playing time instead of wheeler imo ,
misi is our best run lb he needs more snaps if healthy

all those misdirection wide open tight ends away from the play are cause the lbs take the bait every time...i just laugh when i watch that guy play lb...it's an athlete who hustles masquerading as an nfl backer

and yeah horry he can't read the oline to save his life

i will say this about that td against jones yesterday...i don't think there was much he could have done there...they had us by the formation imo and the route...rivers had a 2 way go either way it was gonna be easy imo...

although jones can't be flat footed the way the play unfolded i just don't think he could have done anything to not give up that td

nice play design by the oc

whats the cap hit if we walk away from wheelers contract after this year??? anybody know??? i bet its a big chunk...

Its not just that play. Jones constantly gets run over, late to the ball, takes bad angles, etc.
