thiggy deserves heat tonight...how do you let that ball bounce at the 12 yard line you should fair catcn but then far catch a ball at the 5??? get your head out your ass

There is a reason Bess was in there on non-returnable punts last season... Thigpin is an idiot or he's scared to catch the ball or something. He cost us the game by not catching the ball at the 12 that ended up on the 1. Then he fair catches the next one at the five... what a ****ing idiot.

Kick returners generally have short stretches of prime. I posted last season that Thigpen likely would never again be as good as he was playing in 2012. You always have to keep an eye out for the replacement. It's another area where Ireland doesn't know what he's doing. The Canes always have 3 or 4 returners superior to anyone on the Dolphins. Although on Saturday night they had a difficult time holding the ball after 30+ yard returns...

I wonder when opponents will take advantage of Fields' recent line drive tendencies and use an up man on returns? I attended the Bengals game and couldn't believe they didn't adjust. Fields was getting away with poor kicks that bounced. Same tonight. Gruden spotlighted it a couple of times. Not all of them are line drives, but far beyond his past tendency.

Tannehill is great on the mid range decisive darts. On those throws he's among the best in the league. On virtually everything else he's mediocre to below average. We probably should cut the passing playbook by 80% and abuse only those quick line drives.

It's going to be interesting against Carolina. I'm tempted to attend that game. Should be a slugfest and chess match. It may look like a terrible matchup for us but we seem to put 20 points on the board, regardless of the level of opponent. Not impossible that it's enough against the Panthers.

Well except the Bucs

You know what the worst thing is? They aren't going to fire Ireland until this stupid NFL investigation is finished.

Man, **** Jon Martin.

This Jon Martin thing definitely hurt us but I think I've come around to the realization that this teams warts were of the kind on the field that no matter what we did we weren't gonna be able to hide em....

Pro football is so about exposing weaknesses on tape and we have some glaring ones...that show up just about every week...

Lots of that to expose hell it's almost harder to not expose a weakness

I bet teams lick their chops when we line up in 5 man protects...I know I would watching us in pass pro

Those of you throwing Tannehill under the bus aren't doing a good job of evaluating talent. Yes, he makes mistakes, but he's coming along very nicely compared to the majority of the starting QB's of the last decade ... especially considering he already had more sacks in 8 games than Marino ever had in a season ... and that number is surely growing.

Ireland spent a LOT of high draft picks and expensive free agent money on the OL, and it stinks. Clearly the man cannot judge OL talent well enough. First pick in the draft Jake Long ... good pick, then he doesn't re-sign him after his rookie contract ... and the cascading events probably leads to the end of Ireland's career if you trace them back. Letting Sparano play him while he was clearly injured, never looking like the same player since. Then drafting his replacement in the 2nd round to save his salary slot. Promoting that 2nd round pick from one of the worst RT's in the league to justification for not re-signing Long because that 2nd rounder was promoted to become the worst LT in the league. Then that 2nd rounder is so bad you pick up an underperforming veteran with tons of baggage who instantly performs significantly better without even knowing the playbook. Then the 2nd rounder has a meltdown and starts tearing down the entire front office.

Of course, perhaps you point to the highest drafted center I can remember, Mike Pouncey. Another good player, but not a particularly stout or strong guy, more of a finesse movement guy great at the 2nd level but weak at the point of attack. The guy being talked to about the Patriot fiasco Aaron Hernandez. The same C that got a penalty for twice hitting a guy in the face to start a game ... in the same play. Those are your success stories. The other guys came and went so fast we have trouble even remembering their names.

Teams with catastrophies at OL have better OL's than us. Yeah, Tannehill has problems ... but there aren't too many Aaron Rodgers in this world who can overcome that.

To me, the most salacious thing said last night was when that idiot basketball guy said the Dolphins were the worst scandal of the year .... really ... so he already forgot about Aaron Hernandez ... typical.
