hoops scoops...jets fins...one last time for the ole gipper i guess

I like Tannehill but he was bad Sunday. Missed Hartline on that easy pump and go. The point is he has missed Wallace on at least 4 gimmes and the latest one turned the momentum in a must win game. We both know the Phins werent going anywhere anyway, but at some point he has to hit those.

i agree that vertical miss was a momentum changer for sure...sucks too cause he set it up just right and just overthrew it...kept the safety out and let it rip but just a yard too far out front...if people want to bang him for his vertical accuracy and placement i get it...i think a lot of it is footwork based but they'd have plenty of ammo this year...i dont think it's a part of who he is though over the long haul...

missing hartline on the improv after the initial route was taken away on the like first drive though did not play into anything outcome wise...that's people just fishing for criticism

Hoops, Hard to believe you are still on the McKinnie bandwagon. He has sucked, and the reason we have been better has been on Clabo. GUARANTEED.

im not fishing for criticism. just pointing out a missed throw. i mean he missed Wallace high. missed him low. sailed one on Hartline when he was open on the sideline. i thought he was pretty erratic tbh. guess we saw different things

i dont agree with that...his run blocking sucks mckinnie athletically cant move in space he was cut by the ravens cause his run blocking was so poor but he helped make these collapsing pockets from the outside in on tannehill not so prevelant and while he got beat clean or failed to pick up edge db blitzers at times he wasnt just picked up and carried back to the qb...

do we need a long term left tackle who athletically can fit what we want to do absolutely...our tackles athletically are a joke

Clabo and Jerry have been rock solid, and then some in protect on the right side, I know you had to see that.

he missed some throws for sure...airmailed a easy route to hartline...the wallace ball that was too high for a pick wallace limps off the los on the route and never gets the depth thus it's picked...threw a low screen to wallace that was doomed from the time we called it and the d lined up...

he also bailed the pocket a couple times straight back which is never a good idea...did not like that...but with 60 damn sacks and hits its hard for me to get on him for maybe looking a little shy standing in sunday...plus there's rumors he was nicked up still from the bills game...i don't know if true or not but i know about 25 plus other starting nflqbs who would never be still playing in game 16 if they took all the contact he took this year...

Oh I agree Hoops. Im concerned Jeff Ireland and his buffoons will ruin this kids career. I like him, and I think with a decent to good O Line he can be a very good NFL QB. Problem is I have zero faith these chimps will ever give him that. Anyway, Im super excited to watch the Miami Dolphins bypass more stud te's in the upcoming draft. ASJ will be a Patriot. Watch

you can have clabo...he played better the 2nd half the season for sure but he's athletically washed up...jerry i'm about done with also...only thing i like really is pouncey...of what we start up front...get some move athletes to the 2nd level and laterally quick guys like the damn eagles oline and then we are cooking with gas

if brenner can get much stronger and stouter and not lose his movement skills then that would be great...he's worth developing further...

bring back will yeatman to camp at least also cause he's that kind of athlete we want for this o

i will just get a few things off my chest and then i am out of here for quite a while.

hoops out

I see we're having trouble with this last part. Just giving you a hard time, I say I'm not coming in here for a while all the time but it never holds. Look forward to your draft stuff.

Tannehill deserves some of the blame for the last two games...absolutely. He didnt play well...at all. Was it all on him, no...but he deserves his fair share of criticism. However...if you are willing to give up on him and think he is "garbage"...then Im going to guess you either have blind hate for the kid or you have never actually played a down of football in your life.

We won 8 games in large part due to Tannehill. He almost doubled his touchdowns this year...thats an obvious improvement. His decision making was quicker...his command was better. He has ALOT to work on..no doubt but hes getting better.

Also this goes both ways...the people who think Tannehill do no wrong need to take off the blinders...he needs to get better. However, those who sit and think its all on him need to acknowledge the fact that our offensive coordinator is nearly Henning-esque and our O-line was statistically the worst we have ever witnessed in dolphins history.

Tannehill's worst 4 games as a pro:

First game of his career @Houston with a 39 passer rating
Last game of the season vs The Jets with a 42.1 passer rating
vs Tennesee with 42.4 passer rating
And week 16 @ the Bills wasn't much better with a 45.6 passer rating

Clutch.

yeah no doubt...my ears were burning from all the usual suspects attacking me...doubt i will be doing any draft work up though...watching prospects so of course i will be bullheaded about em but with the way we draft all it does is piss me off

maybe a new gm will change my mind...anyways finheaven should give silverfin a guru badge...he can take it over for me as i exit stage left

Clabo played really well the last 9 games, and ran rings around McKinnie, who you like. Why is beyond me. Agree on everything else, especially Brenner.

i liked what mckinnie brought to us in pass pro relative to what we were getting before...yes...he could handle himself better on an island than what we had prior...as far as not getting the pocket collapsed from the outside in

Aside from that, IF you choose to go on vacation, you will be sorely missed. I really enjoyed our exchanges, which you always lost. JK/LOL.
