Phin fan since 1970!
We got our welker type WR back.
This kid is easily just as good as teammate Odell Beckham at the bottom line.... playing football. Landry was one of my 5 favorite players in the entire draft along with Deone Bucannon, Greg Robinson, Ryan Shazier, and David Fales.
Literally every game, he made at least one catch that nobody else in the country could make. He did it every game. Todd McShay nailed it when he said this kid has the best ball skills of any skill player in the draft. He's tougher than all the receivers Miami has had in the past decade combined. I used to watch him as a freshman when he only played special teams for LSU covering kicks. He was such a devastating hitter that Georgia was afraid to run kicks out of the endzone in the SEC Championship Game. One of the more amazing impacts on a football game that I've seen.
Miami is drafting football players now. I don't know what this Hickey guy's philosophy is, or how he identifies talent.... but he's killing this draft. He knows what a football player looks like. Bill Parcells can't teach Jeff Ireland that. You just have it or you don't.
As an Alabama guy what are your takes on OLB Adrian Hubbard and WR Kevin Norwood?
Norwood is the most clutch receiver we've had since Julio Jones, he was just underutilized at Alabama. He was only given one opportunity to really be the focal point and dominate a game his entire career, and that was the National Championship Game against LSU where he completely dominated Tyrann Mathieu one-on-one. His ability to go up and get the football at it's highest point is elite. Knows how to work back to his quarterback and excellent field awareness and body control. I've never really seen any weakness to his game. Always came through in the clutch when we needed him. He just doesn't have big numbers because of the structure of the offense. Amari Cooper is a better prospect, but will drop easy passes. Never seen that out of Norwood. At 6'2", 200 with 4.48 speed, he's better than a lot of receivers that have already come off the board. I think he's going to be an excellent pro. Outstanding kid that loves football and will work to earn his keep, that's critical. Norwood will always be one of my all time favorite kids that we've had at Alabama. Hubbard is an incredible specimen and will be a better pro than he was a college player if he changes his attitude. But that's the big IF. He's never put it together at Alabama. When Saban can't get the most out of one of these kids as physically talented as Hubbard, there's a problem. It doesn't happen very often, which is the red flag regarding Hubbard.

lol
I do love this kid….I hope he lays out Revis on a block…
I could see him getting in Wallaces face for not fighting for a ball as well…
He will be a team leader by the end of the season…
Him and Tannehill are going to be magical together
