Hoops scoops...season imploding Mia buffalo

Said this in another thread but it's very concerning how inconsistent he is from game to game and even series to series. Even in this game he blows in the 1st Q putting us behind the 8 ball, but comes back with good play. Still hard to deny the O Line has been piss poor at pass pro. I just think Tannehill needs to show more escapability ala Wilson, Newton. Luck. etc given he is a plus athlete.

Biggest concern for me is it lack of awareness to the pass rush and circumstance. Bad playcall by Sherman on the fumble but Tannehill can NOT let that ball go. Blame whoever...the call, Clabo...but Tannehill has to protect the rock like it was his child in that situation.

Sad to say, I'm beginning to get concerned too. The worst part about inconsistency is that if it doesn't get better, the good games are enough to make a team stick with that player far too long. At least if a QB is consistently bad, you can count on the team moving on faster (unless you are the Phins for the past few years or worse, the jags). I still have faith that he will get his **** together, but red flags are starting to go up. Everybody is focusing on the O-line and completely disregarding the godawful interceptions that put us in that hole in the first place. Also disregarding the fact that a 4th string QB made our overrated defense his bitch. Disregarding that we keep sticking with Thomas. Disregarding our complete inability to cover TEs (still, after all these years).

But hey, maybe trading for McKinnie will make all that stuff go away. Or maybe drafting Lane Johnson or some other cornfed would have.

Too bad Sherman did call a run. Your boy Ryan Runofthemill changed it to a pass.

I of course have no problem with the play call though. Just the execution. Make a different excuse.

Ya I read that somewhere too. I think it was an Omar piece posted by Shouright??? Thats 2 very big strikes so I'll take it with a grain of salt. As far as excuses go, maybe take your own advice and "get real" about Sherman and the other coaches. You've been making excuses for them since last season.

Just for good measure, I've seen you change your mind on Tannehill 4 times now. He went from great to "tannebust" to elite to "runofthemill." How many more times can we expect you to change you mind? I just want to know how many more 2nd grade nicknames we'll have to endure!

I'd suggest you take everything here with a grain of salt. There's quite a bit a distance between what we can know about the team from our vantage point and what can be known about it from a vantage point within it. Even the best information we're privy to here is interpretable in many different ways.

Hmm interesting. Then why re-post garbage columns and articles? Or subjective and inconclusive stats for that matter? Not mad at you man, it's just that was pretty hypocritical.

I'd suggest you take all that with a grain of salt as well. We're just doing the best we can here, which ain't all that great. :)

Does anyone remember we won 9 of 10 games after a 2-4 start in 2008.....with half the talent and coaching we have now. We have a bunch of new pieces that are trying to gel......I have confidence in this team and coaching staff.

Well said. I gave up pounding that drum after a few weeks last year. No one here listens to it.

Very good point. I like your thought process. Negativity is the easy way out and the Devil's way in. I know I bitch on here a lot and I lost my **** after that fumble in the Bills game. But, it takes a MAN to have faith and be positive.

Que sera sera. (I'm sure I just butchered that spelling).

"Other than that Miami signed two mediocre possession WRs"

OK, you fail. Go away now. Both Hartline and Gibson are sick route-runners who get open and catch the ball. There's only about 6-7 Calvin Johnson types in the whole league. I hope opposing defenses keep underestimating Brandon Gibson like you just did, and Hartline. The Gibson signing was probably the best value-signing in the whole league this offseason.
Did I say I'd trade one of them for a high pick? Yes, cuz I like Matthews a lot and we can lose with Wallace, Gibson and Hartline but we can't win without some blocking. But when Tannehill has looked good this year, our WRs have looked great too.

The only game we should have lost this year was against the Saints, cuz even if we hold onto the ball, our D just had no answer (cuz they were beat up, first and foremost). Outside of that, terrible sacks cost us against both Baltimore and Buffalo. Lack of quality cornfeds lost us those games, period.
