Clearly the talent is a large part of the issue. If we want to play that game Grier is 4-13 against Buffalo and 2-11 against Buffalo since Allen got there.
He was a dropped Charles Clay TD in the endzone in 2018 from being 1-12.
The 2022 win, statistically we got out-played in too. Maybe the issue is the guy picking the talent?
IMO you are over rating Allen. He finished with the same record as the Dolphins last season despite have the same starting 5 on the OL for every game. If we had zero OL injuries last season, we win the division by 3 or 4 games. As far as qbs ideally we’d punt for the 26-27 class where raoila the Nebraska kid or the Tennessee kid would be available along with arch manning. There’s some Mahomes in raiolas game.
There is no Josh Allen offset I see in this coming class and Miami should draft its qb gauging that more than anything.
It’s probably gonna take a leap of faith cause Josh Allen even with our talent would win many a division in the next decade. He’s just that much of a difference maker. Miami better chase offset.
Or get ready to hit the road if it makes the playoffs and be one and done a lot.
Article today on the Chargers o-line play since Harbaugh took over. It’s been nicknamed “medieval”. Herbert isn’t even playing great and apparently they are road grading teams, getting lower and blowing them off of the ball. You can fix o-line in one season. Other teams do it. Why can’t we ?Even our oline are smurfs. It's like Grier has a height fetish.
They HAVE been playing some crappy teams though.Article today on the Chargers o-line play since Harbaugh took over. It’s been nicknamed “medieval”. The Raiders defense is not crap. They are very goodThey HAVE been playing some crappy teams though.
But yea, Harbaugh has the right idea.

I thought their line had been suspect during the Herbert era. I could be wrong. The article talked about the toughness expected in the trenches (by Harbaough)I thought the chargers o-line was pretty good last season? I haven't watched them yet this year but i was a big fan of Slater and the first round pick Alt is an ogre.

The difference between a "soft" attitude and a "we are going to punch you in the mouth" attitude.Article today on the Chargers o-line play since Harbaugh took over. It’s been nicknamed “medieval”.
