How big a factor do you think

the heat in miami is for the opposing team? im new to Fla. ive heard it for years thah we cant win in the snow and cold in foxboro and buffalo. so is it on the same level for us if we had home field advantage and hosted an afc championship?

The humidity does get to some guys towards the end of the game...But only if they are out of shape or not prepared by their coaches...the other thing is that some guys don't hydrate well enough before the game and get drained quickly once in the heat...Does it affect the whole team, no...just individuals...The snow and cold doesn't affect us as much as you would think..Now, there are exceptions...the blizzard we played in NE a couple of years ago affected the team...not because of the weather, but that it took away our defensive quickness and gave the NE offense an edge. But the difference between cold and heat, to me, is that both teams are affected by the cold, whereas we seem to be less affected by the heat...

Since 87 (moved into Joe robbie Stadium) we are:

49 and 18 at home for the first 8 weeks of the season.

I have no way to tell which were 1pm, 4pm or night games out of that number unless someone wants to try and research that. That puts us at a 73% win record in Dolphins Stadium during the hot time (first 8 weeks of the season) yes there has been cooler games and hotter but I had to pick a date so i did. I will try to dig up more info but nothing i see yet makes me believe that the Sun had anything to do with those wins, more so the players that were on the field ;-)

i just moved to fla, and i used to get pumped at the thought of playing in the snow. we played many games in the snow, short sleeves, hair frozen, those were some great times, but let me tell you, ive only been in florida for 3 months, and already i cring when thinking about playing football in the cold and snow lol

so lemme ask this, someone whos got the time to research such a thing, which homefield situation is more advantageous, being in miami to start the season, or playing in foxboro in december...my vote without any supporting evidence is the cold.
