How does ESPN QBR work? Tannehill's QBR DROPPED from 26 to 28 after Sunday's win

But wait, I thought QBR was the end all be all of everything and Matt Moore was a sure 1st ballet Hall of Famer?!

to be fair, Carpenter cost Tannehill game 1 vs jest last season, but who's counting, right??? unless it;'s a Sanchez extenuating circumstance :idk: Oh and Tannehill played injured Sunday (thumb) and in that Atlanta choke job, they lost to a dome team, right?

He also fails to mention that the winning FG against Indy in 2010 was setup by this:

1-P.McAfee kicks 71 yards from IND 30 to NYJ -1. 31-A.Cromartie pushed ob at NYJ 46 for 47 yards (10-T.Smith).

Or that Sanchez threw an INT in the red zone just before the half.

Or that the Indy defense was on the field for 18 minutes in the 2nd half.

NYJUNC, let it go man. Sanchez sucks and is the reason the Jets didn't win a SB in those 2 years....not the reason they were there. Braylon Edwards was more of a reason you guys were there than Sanchez, making multiple crazy catches on ducks thrown by Sanchez. Ya'll had a great team, and a weak QB. Once that team started losing players, the butt fumbler was exposed.

so what? did you know in a similar spot in 2006 at home Peyton manning got the ball near midfield w/ more time and couldn't get his K in chip shot range?

a whopping 18 minutes? how did they go on? you do know Mark played a role in them being on the field that long, right?

Mark wasn't the reason we lost either title game and please show me clips of these crazy catches from Braylon?

we had a good team and a good QB, last year we had the worst skill position talent in the league and Sparano.

Have you ever posted the same type of comment about Sanchez or were all of his TD passes also caught by him? Was every scoring drive ever led by Sanchez solely his doing?

What about the TD run by Thomas? Wasn't that setup by 64 passing yards on an 80 yard drive?

You are so biased it's not even funny.

Who knew QBs only deserve actual credit if they throw the ball 70 yards to the end zone that went over the heads and through the hands of 5 defensive backs?

Of course Sanchez threw TDs that the WRs made plays on but those don't count. This dolt can't physical give credit when it's due, ever.

You have 2600 posts on a Dolphins forum. Do us all a favor and go away

who are you? and obviously you can't read. Be quiet and go about your day.

yeah, b/c that is what I said.

I swear I lose IQ pts every time I read your posts.

Mark was top 10 in the NFL in 2010, his 2010 was light years better than Ryan this year.

Sanchez 2010: 270 of 507 for 3,291 yds - 54.8 completion % - 17 TDs 13 INTs - 75.3 rating
Tannehill 2013: 300 of 484 for 3,315 yds - 62 completion % - 20 TDs 14 INTS - 84 rating

Coincidence that aside from Tannehill having 5 fumbles lost whereas Sanchez had 2 (throwing/running) that Junc says Sanchez was not only better than this year's Tannehill but was a Top 10 QB in the league in 2010.

I know I know, stats are bull**** and they show nothing. These numbers are made up and don't reflect what happened on the field....in reality that isn't ours.

Let me guess, it's b/c the Jets made the playoffs right?

Because we disagree it's my fault? Your marriage hopefully is more even-keeled than the ones you have here.

So I suppose 13 TDs and 18 ints, less than 2900 yards passing 14 fumbles (and a butt fumble) is your idea of a good QB JUNC?

Nobody knows for sure. They have NEVER revealed the full methodology. When they unveiled the QBR system they said they would take questions about the methodology (such as how they calculate 'clutch' factor) at some conference ESPN was going to attend. Well, if you didn't show up, tough ****.

But I do know this, let me give you an example:

Scenario 1: QB throws an interception at the 50 yard line. Opposing team goes 3 and out and punts the ball.
Scenario 2: QB throws an interception and opposing team scores a touchdown because a defensive back slips and falls down.

In scenario 2, the QB takes a much bigger hit to his QBR.

It's a dumb system. I'm pretty sure they use it to hype up Monday night games.

I swear to God, Im so tired of reading about poor sanchez and the great seasons he had despite his lack of anything above medicore career stats. At least if someone is going to drag a jets QB into the debate, make it one that is at least seeing playing time "this" season.

mark had ONE fumble lost in 2010.

You know, you know but you don't know b/c you are just using stats.

he was horrible last year, one of the worst in the league. where did I ever say he was good in 2012?

Deflect and deny.......

You try to take credit away from Tannehill because of a long run in a TD scoring drive but fail to do the same for Sanchez when a long kick return sets him up. No integrity.

Ever notice I don't bring up Chad Henne (even though he is an actual starting QB). It is because he failed as the Fins starter. We move on. You, OTOH, are stuck. I'm done. Sanchez's play ended this argument for me. It is sad it didn't end it for you. Then again.... Geno Smith.....

Only if you count handing off the ball.

how are the situations alike in any way?

mark on the road in a PLAYOFF game, under a minute left, first possession since losing lead.

gets KO return to 46, takes over w/ 45 secs left.

goes 3 for 3 for 38 yds including a beautiful 18 yd pass to Braylon on the sideline setting up chip shot FG for the win.

Ryan on the road against an under .500 team after having failed in 2 prior possession to get the lead:

gets 55 yd run to set up Mia at Pit 16, throws short pass and watched Clay break 2 tackles and score a TD

Yeah, exactly the same:lol:

as far as mark on that 18 mins-

9-12 in the 2nd half and had a big 3rd down scramble for a 1st down.
