How Fair-Weathered Can We Get?!

...Then again at some point you have to name your starter and simply go for it and ride out the hard times until everyone is on the same page in this offense.
and whoever they pick, I hope they stay with that guy either for the entire year or until the QB gets hurt behind this rather putrid OL...no more of this Jay for a half A.J. for a half crap like Wanny did last year...let it be Gus, or let it be A.J., or let it be Sage, but just let it be one of them, not ALL of them.

I wonder where this really stands with the coaches. I mean after last nights performance they may have to re-think their support of Gus. Then again at some point you have to name your starter and simply go for it and ride out the hard times until everyone is on the same page in this offense.

Point well taken...... it will be interesting to see how this plays out. If nick decides to let Gus go exclusively with the one's this week the QB copetition is history if he allows AJ to work with the one's it's back on. I just hope he makes a decision soon so we can quit this cat fighting about who should start and get behind one guy.

Last 2 Weeks, oh Gus is the man, he is outplaying AJ by light years. "AJ is the worst QB in the NFL" "Why did we waste a 2nd round pick on him"

Now this week after ONE game "Gus sucks." "AJ is the man"

:shakeno:

EDIT - BTW, I am a Gus supporter for this season but I want whoever is better to start to help this team out, but this is JUST unbelievable.

See, this is to be expected- it's all "what have you done for me lately?"- that's the way it is in sports, but especially at QB, which is by far the most scrutinized position in sports. I don't think either Frerotte or Feeley is the man- I think they both suck and we're screwed at the QB position this year. Tim Couch is not the answer. Rohan Davey is not the answer. We have to draft a QB in the first round or sign a Brees or Rivers- whichever one is available this offseason (most likely Brees). That's the only way we're going to improve at the QB position. Enough of taking these career back-ups and busts and trying to make them into starters.

I think more discouraging than anything I read this morning was the play of the o-line- AWFUL. Enough of the juggling at this point. I want Houck and Saban to take the guys who will be the starting 5 and play them next week, which should be:

LT- Carey
LG- James
C- Hadnot
RG- St.Clair
RT- McDougle

These guys have to build chemistry and continuity and it's not going to happen unless the same group plays consistently together.
