It's not over by any means, but at this point, a lot has transpired, from the first day. Media, players, and then coaches responses. Has your position or opinion or feeling on the Incognito/Martin situation evolved, or stayed the same? For me, I know it's evolved.

My first reaction was, you don't walk away from your team and call a lawyer, unless something deeply serious has happened that can't be resolved. And I do still feel that way. However, if Martin didn't handle it the right way, (or maybe you feel he did), it doesn't let the Dolphins organization, or Incognito off the hook. Especially with a police report being filed last year, and coaches seeing Incognito regress.

I'm now at the point where I place more responsibility on the coaches than anything else.

I'm trying to post a poll...let's see if I can make the function work.

IMHO --> Ritchie is exactly as advertised -> this is the guy they brought in -> not a leader of men -> a giant teenager -> but a good teamate

IMHO --> Martin is an opportunist, who is beig bullid by his two parents who are lawyers

Fot the record -> J Ireland is a terrible GM -> if he goes down I won't be too concerned

Dolphin players should self impose one game vs tampa and not play! Tampa wins by default dolphn players wont risk getting staph infection and mrsa.
At first i felt sorry for martin then i heard richi protected him in a fight a week before he quit. What bully helps defend you in a fight?

screw martin, screw martins mom and his sister trade him to san fran where he feels more at home..

At first I was waiting to hear the evidence; the more I learn the more I know Martin is a bitch and our beloved dolphins will be the victims of a pr witch hunt

1. I think Martin is an opportunist who went about this the wrong way in a team setting, but definitely had legitimate reasons to be intimidated. LaCanfora new article stating that his physical assault took place outside the Fins facility with players being witness to it is disgusting. That's not how you toughen up a teammate on the football field.

2. Incognito really had no bad intentions, but doesn't realize what a douche bag he really is. He probably considers Martin a friend, and thinks that this is his way to make him a better player.

3. The Dolphins organization as a whole, including Stephen Ross who has completely ignored Jeff Irelands shortcomings as a GM, and a public affairs nightmare, is completely dysfunctional. It must be completely reformed from top to bottom!!

So now there's more coming out about a physical assault?

This just never ends. I agree with you that Incognito is a jackarse, and doesn't have particularly bad intentions or thinks he's a bad person, but he's a ticking time bomb. Any coach who felt comfortable having him off a leash should be fired. Plus, the guy's an alcoholic. Who shows up blitzed at a Dolphin golf event and throws water on a volunteer and humps her? Didn't they see he had a drinking problem?

As far as Martin, he's got issues, for sure, and being exposed and abused like he was, just made everything come to a head. Too much going on to blame just one guy you drafted last year. Too many responsible parties.

I still believe this is about Martin wanting out of Miami over being forced to RT as rook, and faced with same after McKinnie signing - Ireland posturing he would facilitate a trade by deadline, and lying or reneging - and a 'code red' call from up top to Incognito beginning in 2012

We're being evicerated on national tv right now, on every channel. Even the guys that say there is hazing, and breaking down of players, they said it never gets this far. Either leadership in the locker room stops it, or the receiving party (Martin) stops it. But they said there's few players of tenure in our locker room. The long-snapper is the longest tenured guy, they said. And bringing in FA's from other teams, means you're bringing in different cultures, which is a risk you take. So guys like Clabo, Incognito, Ellerbee, Wheeler, come here with their own idea of right and wrong, and there has to be leadership and a culture entrenched here ALREADY in order to offset that.

From everything that everyone's saying, it seems they truly do believe Incognito just went too far, period.

And you know, from every corporate organization I've ever been a part of, it's not that dissimilar, in some ways. The fish rots from the head down. No matter what we do in our department, the policies and environment is created by upper management, not us. We don't have control over two things, THAT, and who our co-workers are. We just have to deal with them. Management has control over both.

First opinion- Martin is a weak pansy and Cog was what we expect Cog to be
Current- Martin is a weak pansy who has parents willing to burn down an organization to help their entitled little baby. Cog was railroaded and needs to be back on the field as its the right thing to do now.

How is this too far? Mean words? That's just stupid to think especially since its now common knowledge that the two were friends, Cog always had Martin's back, and that the verbal banter was two way

My first thought was Sammie Smith, when he quit, because the fans we're saying Sammie sucked.

I thought this because I had to think in a millisecond how bizarre this sounded, I thought a physical fight ensued, but later learned it was just words.

Sticks and Stones may break my bones, but words will never harm me, that's what I thought.

Jonathan Martin is a baby.

I never wanted Incognito because he's been trouble everywhere he's played.
Martin was a terrible 2nd round pick and has never impressed me at tackle.
Ireland is an awful GM, a terrible drafter, and if some of what I've heard this week is true, an idiot.
These things were true before this crapstorm started so my opinion on these three people hasn't evolved.

Philbin I had high hopes for, but anyone who puts Incognito in any kind of leadership role is a damn fool, imo. So now I question Philbin's judgement enough to want him gone.
